I absolutely love the backstory of this home and this courageous woman! The home is lovely, from what I could see, and so unassuming from the street view.

Awesome house! I remember seeing a news story about this house about 7-10 years ago and thought it was hilarious what 'the mole man' had been doing for so many years! Its really amazing how the house has ended up thanks to Sue Webster and her architect!! Well done for preserving such an unusual house and actually making it a work of art! Really really beautiful!!

@Travis Rabble Nah not always true. The curse of my one friend sadly her family has never been well off and she had to pay for all of her school. She had one more year but decided to take a break and work to save money but now she has gotten in a cycle of the school not giving her full financial aid since she is working and would be considered part time. So she is pretty sure she will never be able to finish her last year and get the degree. She is photographer but the work she does if very not main stream, she hates wedding, landscape, basic and boring photography would sooner make her want to die. So she is cursed with the love of the weird in photography and would never be satisfied at any corporate company since she thinks so abstractly. She has no privilege, but due to the way she thinks of the world she feels trapped. Being a artist with no money and a niche interest is a curse

A clear example that the harmony of a place is the human being, raw walls, unfinished spaces, exposed concrete, rusty old paint, and yet put together, it agrees beautifully with art, with the cosmovision of its owner, furniture with timeless design, adequate lighting, serene vegetation ... a space that, starting from conflict and decadence, embraces creativity.

I lived in lower Clapton at the time when he was digging and the story about him was he was a Polish refugee who hid from the Nazis in cellars and they tunnelled from house to house, it must have triggered something in his head and he just kept tunnelling to feel safe and he just enjoyed doing it, as for the sign. . . "HELLO BOYS" at this time there were loads of squats and derelict houses in Hackney and Clapton so it didn't stand out too much, corrugated iron sheets were more common than flowers in front of houses then, we squatted for years and loads of people did around us,

Harold Budd "Balthus Bemused by Color"; Benoît Pioulard "Moss Detail", "Ruth"; Brian Eno "Light Paintings"; Brian Eno/Harold Budd "Wind in Lonely Fences"; Daevid Allen "Euterpe Gratitude Piece"; Oneohtrix Point Never "Woe Is The Transgression II" are all good branching off points, but the music used in this video is Daniel Lanois-ish, especially if you're into the guitariness aspect, of which "Asylum" from Slingblade OST and "Signals" from the Apollo OST he did with Brian Eno, are good recommendations. Last, but certainly not least (in fact the greatest) is Daniel Lanois, Harold Budd, and Brian Eno's album The Pearl. All these recommendations and further exploration of the artists will lead you to the vibe that you resonated with in this clip.
