My experience with chaeto was, once I upped my lighting on it and increased my bio load by add more fish my chaeto grew like mad. At local reef club meetings I would bring bags of it to give away to people because it kept out growing the refug.

@inventoryking4 жыл бұрын

@christiangentry76403 жыл бұрын
No, you're not supposed to acclimate. Turbo Start needs to be refrigerated at all times of storage, otherwise the bacteria dies. Depending on how long you keep the bottle out to "acclimate" it could cost you some of the bacteria you paid for. And I've cycled several tanks without this "acclimation" and achieved the desired results.

Nice video, but I have watched a few videos on refugiums, and I think everyone I have heard mispronounces the name of the macro algae. It is not pronounced “Chato” with a long “a” sound. It should be pronounced “keyto” with a long “e”. I am a marine biologist and aquaculture biologist that has worked with a marine diatom algae species called Chaetoceros (key-toss-sir-us). Maybe a dumb point to bring up, but it bugs me a little when I hear things mispronounced. Still a good video, which I enjoyed.

"Tanked" also used to be a show on Animal Planet............about fish tanks. It's also an informal term for drunk, having a good time. Paul doesn't drink, but he does have a good time with his fish tanks. I think it fits perfectly.

OM617YOTA, here’s a quote from TMZ, “Tanked has been -- wait for it -- tanked after 15 seasons...” And here’s a definition from the Oxford English Dictionary, “To fail completely, especially at great financial cost.” Perfect? Hmmmmmm...🤔
