This coach is mind-blowing with his knowledge complexities, switching at that level from no gi to gi as if it was just changing your snickers, is so impressive, awesome ;-)

I can't say work total certainty regarding these days, but I know that at the blue mats in NY Danaher coached more gi than no gi. Many people just think he's so much no gi because the work he did revolutionizing leglocks is mostly used in no gi.

@rtasi2000 Жыл бұрын
you seriously think that ?
@kirklandfoodwrap Жыл бұрын
@@rtasi2000You can clearly see Danaher’s studied a lot of the AOJ guys if you know what you’re watching. That grip on the gi to expose the back during the pass is straight from Tainan. Other things you see in other footage or instructionals are some of the high step passing from Rafa, hip frame/framing the guard which Danaher calls self-framing, cross shin pins, etc

The diference is that John seems to avoid using leg drag on passing gi system. Dont know why, but it looks Like dont fit well on tallers athletes

It’s interesting that Danaher chooses to wear a rash guard at all times. Anybody who’s worn one knows they’re not especially comfortable. Especially not compared to a t shirt. For a man with such high intellect you’d think he’d see the egoic nature of wearing a compression shirt to a wedding

I think it has a healthy reason (back etc.)he works much as a trainer and standing up here and there can be hard for him why don’t make him something easy and letting him sit while shaking hands
@rtasi2000 Жыл бұрын
you either must be new to john's sitting posture or just a clueless hater (2 reasons) (First) is that john has had multiple surgeries on his left knee which resulted in artificial shortening of the leg and deformed ligaments, drastically inhibiting Danaher's ability to properly extend and retract his knee. in other words the guy has shxxty knee problems that affects not only his walking but also his back as well. (Second) the sitting posture in which john is sitting in is called Seiza ( japanese sitting technique) is a kneeled position so as to convey respect . it helps correct your posture and strengthen your spinal cord and relieves backache, relaxes muscles and spine. danaher is a firm believer of the Japanese concept (Kaizen) "continuous improvement". despite his physical limitations the man is trying his best with the limited mobility he has left. a classy gesture of respect if anything.
