I miss Finland I’m a Finn who has lived in the US for 35 years. Hoping to move back some day. I remember skiing in my grandparents forest as a kid. Huge pine trees, the silence and occasional whisper of the trees. I miss that tranquility.

Sanna, if you have a Telegram account, it’s probably been hacked. Someone contacted me yesterday posing as you and wanted me to support your channel and then they said I won a laptop, and then an iPhone, so I played a little cat and mouse game with him. I said I did not want the computer stuff, just one of your sweaters. Of course, that crashed his stupid little party. He sent me pictures of sweaters from the internet. Might wanna look into that.

I live in Florida. After being stationed in Norway for a time in the military, and then watching your videos, I can confidently say that ppl who live in Norway, Sweden and Finland are on a whole different wave length. We are totally off-grid, so I could definitely identify with your having to use temporary measures while things were not functioning as usual. We have two or three different ways of managing heating, cooking, and lighting and charging batteries/devices. It is especially necessary during winter. Although we have given up certain modern conveniences, we also enjoy being free of dependence upon utility companies and government regulation of those utilities.

I envy your winter. Here in Northern Minnesota, USA, it’s been shockingly warm. Many winter events cancelled, due to lack of snow, lakes not frozen. I’m Norwegian, Finnish and a bit Swedish. I’m in central Alberta where it should be -30c and snow covered. Instead, it’s +12c and brown. I feel for the poor farmers.

We have same problems in southern Finland.. but one reason is natural, warm föhn winds over the Norwegian mountains. Couple days before was -17 and then +5... now is -7 sun shining. Weather is more unstable than normal in these days.
