I'm visiting for the first time for the Knotty 100, (thanks to the LMM sponsorship,) cannot wait to see everything there is to take in. I'd welcome any advice you can give to a first timer so I don't miss anything

Hey Nick, thanks for wanting to come thanks to Lawrie! We'd recommend basically everything! But the museum has all our history and maps. We think seeing the train come in past the signalbox towards the platform is a classic photo. We have a miniature railway off to the left hand side as you come in. Worth having a look at Dubs parked up (awaiting overhaul). The bar is nice and cosy, and the buffet sells great cake (having sampled a few). I'd recommend getting into the brake coach of the knotty rake, cos then you can pillage knowledge from the guard too. Lawrie (Friday & Saturday) and I (Ben, Saturday) will be about - do say hello!

It's currently in platform 2, and has been given an interim makeover. It's eventually going to be refitted for food and drink service again.
