Does anyone know how to save serum presets as ".aupresets" in the ableton browser? I have no idea how to get them to show up there.
@SolStateMusic
@SolStateMusic 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Sean! First load the AU version (not vst) of serum on a track in Ableton. Once you see serum load onto the track, there is a button is a tiny button in the top right with a save icon. Just hit that icon and it will save preset in browser. This icon is right next to the wrench icon you use to open Serum
@mishkesounds
@mishkesounds 4 жыл бұрын
@@SolStateMusic Hey thank you for the response! After doing some research I've found out that AU's are for Mac only and I'm on windows. So as a work around I've decided to save them as single instrument racks with the 4 macros on serum sent to the macro's on the instrument rack. Using filetrees on the ableton browser is SO much easier than the browser in each VST.
@SolStateMusic
@SolStateMusic 4 жыл бұрын
@@mishkesounds Awesome! You can also try saving by category for example Bass, Leads, Chords in the ableton browser. That's what I do, helps with finding sounds fast.

i have my drums and synth go thru my Octatrack as well, so mixing is also very important as i want to take this out as a "live" rig at some point, it's so much easier if i get all these sounds dialed in before any recording happens.
