Looks are tricky!! In Iran, inflation is over 70% annually; a single American $ is worth about 45,000 Tuman (Iranian currency)!! Before the revolution in 1978, it was only 7 Tumans approximately!! Some people are willing to sell one of their kidneys to make a living. There is no rule of law, independent judiciary, freedom of expression or assembly. The law is whatever the revolutionary forces say it is; if you get a lawyer, the lawyer might as well end up being arrested and convicted without due process!! Should you not believe any of these, try visiting any city in Iran, and then tell me which one I exaggerated or made up!!! You need to know in advance: You are free to travel to Iran, but your exit from that country is not guaranteed; just ask people with dual citizenship or citizens of any Western country.

But is also important to highlight that everywhere in the world rich and priviledged people have an entire different law completely different from the general laws that oppresses the poorer people. Basically if you are rich you are often above the rules in many cases. So these neighbarhoods and young people are probably the exeptions to the rules because of their social and economic status.

Iran, as a country is flourishing but middle and lower classes are struggling. Part of it is due to sanctions and domination of dollar, and part based on poor economic decisions. Howerve, it can and will only get better.
