I never knew this about Ina. I always saw her as a gentle soul that was in control and walked her life with a destination in mind. I didn't know she was suppressed and abused as a child...you would have never known. What a wonderful lady.

What I love most is that there isn't the least hint of bitterness towards her parents. Not only did she not let it sink her, but she used it as motivation to live her best life. I really want to read her book now.

I'm sure most of us have parents like Ina. The resentment of having children is felt by so many. That's why distancing yourself from family is important. Her childhood seems like mine. It was mine.

I'm grateful for the feminist movement creating future generations of young women who could pursue higher education, a career and opt out of motherhood without being stigmatized for their choices. My wish is for the entire world to stop forcing women into roles for which they know they're not naturally suited.

Wow her mom was a cold hearted person. How sad. She’s lucky to be able to become this successful having such a scary abusive childhood

How sad she had that awfulness from her parents, I'm not sure that saying sorry is enough I'm glad to hear she separated herself from them Self preservation is all she could do

I think she saw some remorse from her Dad and none from her mom. The amount he had ended up being good enough for Ina. I could really tell she could not care less about her mother.

How sad that Ina’s mother was so clueless about her own daughter and missed out on the joy of sharing all her successes. She had no idea what kind of person her daughter was or how much talent and creativity she had.
