Of course he hates you, he quit his well paying job because he found life boring and wanted to find himself with his girlfriend Lilith. After they had a really nasty break up he went through hell where he realized that he made a mistake but his old job won't take him back because he's unreliable and now he's stuck working as a Walmart manager with a bunch of other unreliable employees. He's become obsessed with going back to work with his old buddies but doesn't realize that the company has a no rehire policy for quitters. Lilith on the other hand comes back into the picture and sees hes a total has been and puts him out of his misery. It's a story as old as time.

Diablo 4 is awesome game!!! Compared to Diablo 3, the story is better told in Diablo 4, its like a movie. I was skeptical about this game at launch. Many of the complaints are from hardcore players because of lack of the end game content. However, as time passes there will be more and more content, Blizzard mentioned that every year there will be a new expansion in addition to the quarterly content through seasons. Diablo 4 season 2 is very good, I have so much fun killing vampires.

To be honest Mephisto did say he made Inarius' anger and hate worse after all those years as his prisoner. Previous scripts of Inarius he is shown to keep his promise to not hurt Lilith and not really be against humans. It is no coincidence that after he escaped Mephisto's torment he was ready to break his vow not to hurt lilith and also his disappointment in humanity

In a way I feel for inariius but he also brought this on himself he should have been faithfully to Lillith and embraced his children not fear them of he had simply accepted his new life with his love and progeny the end of his story and sanctuary could have all been avoided

What I feel is there is a coming religious war brewing underneath the surface, a spillover from the Inarius/Lilith conflict. As the Zakarum faither withered after D2, Inarius sort of took over and propagated his Cathedral of Light, as a kind of brother faith to the Zakarum. As Inarius is dead now, the Zakarum will probably try to return in full force (ESPECIALLY Mephisto is now free) and will likely fight the remnants of Cathedral of Light (Mother Prava's force) to be the one true faith in Sanctuary. In the opening cinematic of D4, Lorath was kneeling in front of a Zakarum cross, not a Cathedral of Light one; Zakarum will definitely have a bigger part to play in future seasons.

I find it kinda poetic how he was originally captured and going to be tortured in hell, then talked his way out of it, then ended up ultimately being tortured anyways. He also comes back believing in the prophecy only after being tortured, and realizing that was his fate all along.

I think old Memphy intended to release Inaruis to stall Lillith, and when Lillith kills Inarius, he is back to hell to get tortured again.

Inarius mentioned himself that he was "denied the sweet release of death" so I'm not sure angels can come back the way prime evils do. Not to mention that we're not entirely sure what mephisto is up to, considering he's in a soul stone for now :/ the intentional release to stall Lilith is more than likely true though

It is pretty clear also that your character is a Nephalem. You alone in all of the infected can resist Lilith, you can, even on tier 4 difficulty rock Andariel, Duriel, Lilith, and all the other demonic lords you fight. I am sure in the expacs we will kill Mephisto at least. And by kill, I mean permanently. I think we may start to win the eternal conflict. Everyone feared the Nehpalem, and this could be why.

I mean, we're confirmed Nephalem in D3 and they do insane stuff like fight the hyper-empowered Diablo and win, same with fighting against Malthael. Not just that, but it's been mentioned that Nephalem tend to have traits from either angel or demons [they don't have this in D3 because of the narrative], however some leaks heavily imply that we'll get an angelic-empowered class in D4 soon, which would confirm that we are indeed Nephalem.

Cool video, I played only D3 but it was long ago and i haven't bought D4 yet, so i find your videos very informative about Diablo lore. Keep up the good work! Also I would like to add my thoughts about Inarius after watching your videos about him and Lilith. So from what i understand from your summaries and other bits of lore i've read Inarius at first didn't really hate his offspring and his bitterness, hatred and all the bad blood between him and Lilith are born from two main things: 1.) Lilith's reckless actions and 2.) her cunning nature. 1.) From what I understood as soon as Inarius secluded himself to decide fate of Nephalem Lilith gone berserk and slaugthered everyone who considered killing them. It is reasonable since she was protecting her children from potential threat. But as it turned out Inarius decided to just nerf Nephalem wich was, in my opinion, the best option because it prevented not only the destruction of what he created with Lilith and others but also ereased the threat that Nephalem could pose for them and in turn, prevented possible conflicts about either sparing or destroying them in the future. So yeah, i think Lilith acted too soon and it led to her banishment and from that point things started going downhill between her and Inarius. 2.) As soon as she was back she started plotting against Haevens, Hell and her lover by trying to restore Nephalem powers and possibly to secure her position as future ruler of Sanctuary without even trying to make amends with Inarius, which led to her banishment (again) and later on, to Inarius being imprisoned in Hell and being tormented there for quite a long time. And to be honest i don't blame Inarius for being upset (to say the least) about Lilith's actions leading him to being tortured in Hell. At least that is how I interpret why Inarius became a bit of a jerk and why he embraced the thought of Lilith being the source of his misfortune.

I am an angel connoisseur. And for the most part you will see them lose. Because if they ever won the diablo games wouldn't exist. But through all 4 games we have a few cinematics with them and their all pretty neat. 2 In diablo 2: Baal and Diablo vs Tyrael (Act Finale), and Tyrael destroying the worldstone (Act 5 Cinematic) 3 In diablo 3: Wrath Cinematic (a trailer), Imperius vs Tyrael, And Finally Imperius vs Diablo 3 in Diablo 4: Inarius being a pussy 1-3 And to note all the cinematics excluding 4, their almost always facing the odds. Imperius was facing all 7 evil combined into one, and still got a mark in on him. If imperius ever stood a chance to win, he had to basically combine with all archangels. Imperius vs Tyrael wasn't a full blown fight, but imperius loses trying to force justice onto the archangel of justice. And in the wrath cinematic it wasn't a conclusive fight, as diablo just simply had him pinned, which he might've been able to break out. Tyrael in his cinematics nukes the worldstone (One of the most powerful artifacts in all of existence and was able to alter reality on a whim). And was facing two primals alone (Albeit in stuck in a mortal form), but he never really stood a chance. And Inarius was heavily nerfed in diablo 4. First thing to note is he is without his angelic weapons, as in lore he dual wielded twin swords, so this is just some random spear. Second thing in lore he was attuned with the world stone and he was god like in power, and was able to be faced by a nephilim (Uldyssian.)

Man, after seeing what happens to him in D4, I hope we get to see him some more. He seemed to actually win in Hell until Lilith came out and said "Lmao no" and killed him like a bitch. His death cinematic was tragic, and I can't help but feel that he deserved better than to utterly fail and die a miserable death while begging for salvation.

Not dead, demons and angels can never fully die. His essence will reform in the high heavens, same as Diablo, Baal and Mephisto. Of course I think it's a bit different for the angels when they "die". While the Prime and Lesser evils will reform into their selves, the angels essence reforms into a new angel, I believe. The lore for them coming back isn't as expansive, since the games are usually about ole Diablo reforming once again.

Well Mephisto did trap in his realm of hate. But Mephisto did say he had hate before capture and he had ONLY refined it. Lilith tricked him to get what she wanted. Not to mention what stealing the worldstone did to Mathiel the angel of Wisdom. Inaurius messed up hence why he couldn't go home.

No demon could could've done what he accomplished, putting the Angiris Council in shambles with the nabbing of the worldstone.

If you rewatch the scene where the wanderer seeks inarius’ blessing you can see inarius recoil when the wanderer says they’re strong enough even his wings are pushed back with what seems like the strength of the wanderer.

Great video, enjoyed your narration of the story! Yeah having played through the campaign I am personally of the opinion that the real villain is Inarius, not Lilith. Sure she did some messed up things as well but essentially she has been trying to protect her children and the life that she was trying to make for them. Inarius is just an asshole who only cares about himself lol

@@NyxVellum He was a narcissist before getting captured and being tormented, Mephisto just emboldened that nature. He didn't have the courage Lilith did in looking forward and not back, he was already beginning to regret what he had made with her and became fearful whereas Lilith obviously was ready to do whatever she needed to to protect the life they had created. He is the manifestation of cold feet at the altar, but even worse went as far as to destroy what he had helped make JUST for the slim chance of going back to the life he knew. The story between he and Lilith really showed me the price you must be pay to go against the status quo and the even steeper price for running back to it when you fail to firmly stand with the choices you make and push forward with the consequences of them.

Wish we couldve had more inarius in the main story. I didnt mind his motivations, but I wish hed been more…angelic. Like, charismatic and softspoken, someone youd immediately fall in love with and want to fight and die for. Wouldve been awesome if he had almost weaponized love, like lilith does hatred. And only at the end would he reveal his true arrogant, petulant side to us. Maybe because things werent going his way and we were obstructing his mission somehow. In the game it felt like oh theres that asshole agai-oh okay, hes dead. Moving on.

So to get more pictures i would recommend either pulling screenshots directly from diablo 2, 3, or 4, or even other creators videos on the same subject who already got screenshots from the games or promo material. What I know of the lore says that neither daemons nor angels can be killed permanently, their bodies just dissipate and then reform, after time (years to centuries) later in their home realms, it's why soulstones were needed in the first place. I have seen nothing new in the lore that contradicts that.
