If you want to minimize the number of thieves in society, one way not to go about it is make the cost of thievery zero.

There never was, there cannot be a 'juvenile delinquent.' Knew a guy in high school and just after who was the biggest douchebag I've ever personally met. Got physically hurled from his friend's house when it became clear he had been viciously sodomizing his girlfriend against her will. (We asked her to press charges but she refused.) Everyone had given him a pass on being a douche because we knew how horribly abused he'd been as a child, but when it became clear he was the abuser now, he was not welcome. Being a victim doesn't excuse your own crimes.

Gandhi's non-violence was tailor-made for the British, who considered themselves civilized and cultured. It will not work on power-hungry brutes. Also, keep in mind that most st@bbings don't result in death. Because of this, it should be immoral to defend yourself using lethal measures according to leftoids. Since the criminal that stabs you does NOT deserve death under leftoid ethics, you sh00ting them to stop the st@bbing is just as bad as sh00ting a random person to stop the st@bbing. If you take the retributive part of "self defense" away, you cannot defend yourself at all. This is why even if your life is not on the line, you should be able to morally use lethal force. You're not k1lling the criminal to "defend" yourself; you're k1lling them because they deserve it.

Problem is that most people are not articulated, educated or...I guess cultured? no idea if that's the world. In the political world, even in the ethical sense of things. People generally as a rule can "sense" when something is wrong but they tend to lose the point in trying to actually manifest said point. It don't help that leftist are notoriously good at embedding their ideas in common ideals. EG: racism which almost everyone regards as breaking of normal civil behaviour and life via prejudice but leftist sneak their class conflict bullshit and then can unironically scream in a white dudes face for being white and then ask why he is racist and not more like them. I mean, exhibit A, this very video comments. One would think that there is a dignity to live that must be preserved and that allowing one self, their achievement, their gains and their loved ones and neighbours to be molested by any felon is a breaking of that. But most people reaction is "This bugler wants my stuff so they deserve it" but more snappy. which...it's not wrong. But in the words of the very video. It dosen't actually get to any sort of true point as to WHY that is.

1:23 It is not true that human life is inherently worth more than property. To work at creating something, even in a moneyless system, means to say that some amount of your time is worth less than the basket you want to weave or whatever - or in other words, some fraction of a human life (yours) is worth less than some physical thing. Every day whenever a person goes to work, they are selling their lives. Thus, the belief that life is on an entirely different level than property, taken to its logical conclusion, leads to the rejection of all work and the expectation of being able to play all day. Which is why internet socialists are such fans of the idea.

Someone should ask Vaush if he's willing to diddle children to "win". So vaush believes a socialist society will maximise wellbeing as a utilitarian; socialism will result in a net benefit in wellbeing. By that logic, if we can guarantee the implementation of a socialist society that will last FOREVER, then it would justify ANYTHING that is not infinite in wellbeing loss to obtain. It would be fine to diddle and torture a quadrillion children to obtain this utopia, since it causes a net positive in wellbeing and lasts for an infinite amount of time. Ah, the follies of utilitarianism.

Even rats are smarter than that. Rats love playfighting, but its often not equal between the two participating rats. One rat is bigger than the other. So the big rat should always win right? This would disencourage the small rat from playing. The big rat wants to continue to play and knows this. So the big rat lets the small rat win 2 out of 5 times. So the goal is not essentially winning, but to increase playtime as long as possible. Vaush wanting to win by any means will lead to the people on the other side not wanting to deal with him, because he becomes untrustworthy. And then he actually lost because this wont lead to an implementation of his ideal policies.

This sound a decent bit about why we have ages for driving, drinking, and smoking. If we don’t enforce the laws, it leads to a bad precedent that eventually leads to irreversible damage for some members of society, such as underage drinking or smoking having adverse effects on younger people. Tit-for-tat is a hawk strategy, if I understand this bird-based game theory correctly. It's also one of the most successful *basic* strategies when you pit two AI against one another. The even more successful strategy being tit-for-tat with the ability to forgive over time if the other AI begins to behave.

@@scienceface8884 It's a "hawk" strategy only when paired against a hawk. One of the many reasons why Brazil is such a shithole is because of two factors combined: 1st - "The Brazilian Way" which is a nice way people refer to being absolute scum and cheating and stealing your way through life, that a majority of the country finds completely fine to even brag about. 2nd - Criminals here often go unpunished both by the law and by the population who has no real access to guns and when they do go to jail their sentences are usually not more than a couple years. So when you incentivise stealing and cheating you end up with Brazil and trust me, you don't want to end up with Brazil.
