As a Christian myself I feel the same way. I listen to a lot of different content creators. One of the things that determines on whether I like their content and can listen to them is this. It's if I think I could sit down with them personally and have a reasonable conversation. Even if we disagree on certain topics. A few weeks ago I tried to discuss, with a primarily left-leaning community on Discord about their take on Scott Cawthon once that Donation awareness broke out. They were of the belief that because Scott donated to Republicans, that anything and everything he had done with the FNAF community, his donations to charities and the like were _never_ genuine. That he was irreversably morally compromised and owed everybody who was a fan of his work an apology. They also spent time raving at felt that anybody defending him was the scum of the Earth who were just as complicit in the "crimes of the Republican Party". I tried to argue that that take was extreme, that Scott has done too much to deserve that label and that there have been people who've done far more noteworthy crimes than donating. When that backfired, I basically asked them if they would be okay with what was basically literal WW2-era Nazi Party rhetoric. They answered "yes!", and then promptly banned me for transphobic remarks, I'm assuming. I think I lost a friend of 10+ years over it, too. All that because I disagreed about what the donation actually meant in regards to Scott's character. Their reaction damaged my opinion of the LGBT community rather than made me feel bad about my position.

I grew up in a Christian household, and while I'm not anywhere near as religious as I once was, I will admit that I learned a lot about the Christian faith. Christians are taught what seems to be the opposite of what woke people truly believe. Show kindness to others, even if they disagree with you. Stand up for what you believe in, especially when it comes to your faith. Don't try to seek revenge just because somebody hurt you. Heck, since I grew up in a Christian household, I watched a ton of VeggieTales growing up, and that's how I learned a lot of these lessons (mainly because VeggieTales had entertainment value and catchy songs unlike the church I went to), even if I'm not the best at following them nowadays. All I'm saying is that Christians are teaching people to be kind to others and be good people, while woke people are teaching people to hate others if they're Republicans, straight, white, male, etc. I stand with Scott, as should anyone else who actually cares about accepting others, unlike the woke who use "acceptance" as a rug to hide their mess of hate under.

I think even beyond Notch, there's a value in Scott standing up for himself. Notch was pretty far removed from Minecraft by the time most were trying to cancel him for his opinions, Scott meanwhile seems pretty damn active and vital to his own community as far as continuing to revitalize it with more content. His threat to leave the community carries far more weight than Notch does. Him leaving is just as much a threat to the identity of fans as him staying, and that has a power to it.

I remember when I was a child, I watch an episode of Recess in which the lead character TJ finds out that he isn't liked by a random side character kid, which shocks him as he perceives himself as liked by everybody. This leads to TJ trying his best to befriend this character, taking him on a bunch of hijinks typical of the show and they seem to have a good time together. At the end of the episode TJ asks what if the kid likes him now, and the kid tells him no. When asked why, the kid simply says "I just don't like you" or something to that effect. TJ learns to accept he won't be liked by everyone all the time and moves on. This late 90s/early 2000s children's tv show understood acceptance more than these progressives ever could, and I learned 2 decades ago that expecting everyone to actively like you all the time is pure egotism and simply isn't going to happen because sometimes people just don't like you, and they might not even know why.

I'd like to point out that while hollow Knight and Minecraft are both indie games that became big and have longstanding followings that have their own culture. I don't think they fit in with the others there.
