they act it out live, then record it after if they need to. like the scene where Trevor falls over Franklin's wall and they laugh, that wasn't scripted, but we hear all the lines they say as they act it out - so I don't think they go to a recording booth all separately.

To add onto fact 4, Rockstar North moved their office down to Holyrood a year or so after GTA V released, which is why the distance looks so on your map. That said, the office they were in at the time was further north than 2-4 Waterloo Place: it was in an office block further up Leith Street. I honestly like to imagine that the events of GTA Online take place at the same time as GTA 5's story mode during some of the updates, basically saying that the rise of our online character begins before the game, then several updates take place during the main story mode but behind the scenes, then updates follow on after the story mode has been completed like gun running, Smugglers run, and the contract, etc

I've always been under the assumption that everything up to the Lowrider Update definitely occurred before the events of the main story. Everything between the Executives and Other Criminals Update and the Import & Export Update could possibly take place before or after the main story. Then everything after Gunrunning definitely took place after the main story.

Im pretty sure the so called "goat man" was actually a horrifying bug that could happen back in the early days of gta V, I have footage of it happening on my old xbox one. Basically what would happen is if you're game was running for to long and you happened to be in the right area at the right time the game would glitch out and instead of spawning a normal npc the game would spawn an npc with the deer npc skin on a normal pedestrian or enemy npc, it looked grotesque and it's only even happened to me twice EVER!...pretty sure it got patched out through all the updates though. Funny thing is that the first time it happened to me it was my very first time playing gta V online on xbox one and out of nowhere as I was walking around Grove Street a family's gang member with a dog npc skin on started to chase me down the street glitching out and shooting at me till I died. This was when they first released gta 5 on xbox one, second time I saw it I was in story mode a couple months later in the zancudo area playing as Michael and I found a military soldier doing push ups but with the deer npc skin on instead of the usual soldier skin...it was glitching and flailing like crazy, that's also the one I got footage of. If I find the footage I'll post it.

I think that everything in Online before the Heists take place before Story Mode, the Heists come directly before the Events of Michael meeting Lester again, and then the rest of the updates before Gunrunning take place over time after Story Mode and Gunrunning. For example, Bikers DLC would take place somewhere in 2016. Edit: Now realise that doesnt work since Norris and Molly are still alive in I/E, so that means that we literally did nothing for 4 years. Though maybe they are simply bought in their name and they are actually dead(they signed a contract that they get the car and already paid for it, so that means they also get the car despite being dead?)

About the timeline thing: GTA Online did take place before story mode.
