Really intuitive. Gets to the bottom of improv. Slayer. Bass, tenor movement makes sense. Really encouraging. ❤

Good morning Tony!!! I love this tutorials. I’m glad you’re covering this. This is usually how I play any songs unless there’s a lead sheet in front of me. I … usually I don’t have lead notes😫. I just have bunch of chords in front of me and go by ear so long I know the song…thats why I like fake books so I can improvise from it. ❤❤❤❤

You're mate "Jacob Collier" is here in the UK at the "Glastonbury" rock festival. He played a Queen song (Somebody to Love) on a lovely 6' Steinway, AND... got sections of the massive audience to sing the melody in different notes to make a harmony. It sounded like the biggest church choir you ever heard. very cool!!

Thank you,Maestro. This was one of Miles' faves at the time. Later he fell on love with "Time After Time" by Cyndie Lauper. Diggin' those Floyd Cramer crushed notes. Sing it,Maaaane.🌹🌹🌹🌹

Very useful - I used to have my beginner students learn to improve over G and F Major = all white keys :-) Cheers from Seattle

I would love to learn the fingering for the song itself. In the beginning of the video you were playing the song. It sounded wonderful. A beginners form for the song itself would really help.

For that second chord, a Gm9 second inversion with the 9 at the bottom sounds really lush or plush or nice or how about lavish! lol

I love James Taylor this song has so many meanings for so many people. Just about every sheet music version of this song is absolute garbage....... I'm not a jazz fan but it only took a jazz pro like Tony to show in 8 minutes how beautiful you can accompany this song......one cool dude...

Magnifique. Cette chanson apparaît dans le film Running and Empty. Une très belle scène familiale. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGa9paRqnsiAfbc
