So, guess what!?! Mother Teresa was an evil sadist who didn't believe in pain management for people dying of terminal diseases, as suffering would help them gain understanding of, and thus bring them closer to, lord and saviour Jesus Christ! Testimonies of people who visited her places of death described how they basically sounded like torture dungeons, full of the dying suffering completely unnecessarily... but at least it was cheap, so... a lot of questions over what happened to all of the donations to her "charity". But, she got that endorsement from the paedophile ring of Rome, that's gotta be worth something, right?

Coca-Cola absolutely contained cocaine back in the day. They actually still use coca leaves in their formula for for flavoring, although the active alkaloids are extracted from them beforehand for use in the pharmaceutical industry. There's only one company in the U.S. allowed by the DEA to import and process coca leaves, and years back when I worked as a welder I helped build some replacement extraction/distillation vessels for that company - which is how I found out about it.

Not listerine specifically, however I was told by my dentist to use a fluoridated mouth wash after vomiting (which happens a LOT with my health issues) and it has made a huge difference to my dental health. I had a tooth completely crumble out of my mouth before I started using fluoridated mouthwash several times a day, like I literally woke up spitting out my right molar :( Since I started swishing with UltraDex after every puking session, I have only had some very tiny marks on my teeth (patches where the enamel is slowly eroding, but hasn’t worn through yet!). Which is so much better than crumbling teeth! Who would have thought stomach acid&malnutrition is horrible for your teeth? Anyways, if you puke, after you get a sip of water or take antisickness meds or whatever your routine is, use a mouthwash with fluoride and you will have fewer teeth issues.
@HyperWolf2 жыл бұрын
I should do this then. I’ve been having some health issues recently and vomiting is a part of it. My teeth have started feeling fuzzy on the inner part. I’ve never had any real tooth issues before so that freaked me out quite a bit. Thanks for the tip.

I don't buy at Amazon because it's cheaper. Often, it isn't. I just had to replace my UPS, and Amazon is not where I found the best price. I buy from them, when I do, because I can almost always find what I'm looking for there, whereas I need to shop around otherwise and maybe not find it at all. I'd happily benefit from that while paying them a little more if it meant the workers were treated ethically and they'd stop union-busting. Of course, their net income in 2020 was over $21 billion, so they could easily afford to treat their workers ethically right now without raising prices. They just choose not to.

In all fairness, being locked into an AT&T contract for an iPhone prior to an iPhone4 didn’t matter much here in the states because they only worked with the AT&T service out of the box. Even several iPhones I had (never use AT&T) were only compatible with my carrier unless you jailbreak the phone. The easy removable SIM cards on all iPhones that allow a device to be brought from one carrier to another is pretty recent. That said, AT&T customers probably didn’t understand they weren’t getting anything for free.

A sort of "More pages equal more bullshit to give the impression of a sound legal argument rule" to use as a default way of approaching legal matters. I can see that being helpful, as long as the person still looks into the "brief" to be sure it isn't the rare long brief that happens to have merit.

My father-in-law bought my 2 year old son a child sized wheel barrow and shovel so he could help up spread mulch in the garden which he absolutely loved. for a lot of people who shop at Amazon its the only way to get certain items (sometimes AT ALL and sometimes delivered) i avoid amazon when i can get the products at a local store, or reliably shipped by some other means, but a lot of companies have their "shops" on and through Amazon these days anyway

There are Christian hospitals, clinics and charities BECAUSE they are often funded by Christian organisations and some of them staffed by Nuns, Monks and other religious lay people as part of their mission/for free. In places like the USA, medicine can be very very expensive. People who will dedicate their lives to free clinics are actually… good people. Giving them crap for the beliefs that inspire them to do that (whilst you get paid to KZbin) is bollocks Simon. If freaking Harry Potter societies start doing that stuff, then there can be Harry Potter hospitals 🤷🏻♂️

Right! Simon has spoken before about the good works of people like Mother Teresa and Gandhi. Yet he is more than willing to rubbish their beliefs as crazy fairytales Well, I'm going to put my money on Mother Teresa and Gandhi, who changed the world with their selflessness, rather than an atheist KZbinr, even if he is reasonably more hilarious.

I kinda like what one of my friends does, he calls it the "gay tax" because it started with Chick-fil-A and he is a gay man, so when he buys from them he donates the same amount or more to a group like the Trevor project. He does this for whatever crappy company he gives money to in a sorta karma juggling trick.

As a landlord I find it funny that my tenants usually have nicer phones, TVs, and cars than I do. And higher monthly payments. I may have a 32" TV and a 7 year old phone, but I own their house... There is a reason this is a repeating pattern.
@JoshSweetvale2 жыл бұрын
Yup. I don't have debt and keep it that way. I also don't have a house. Or a car. Or expensive clothes. Or a TV. Or foreign holidays. I do have a phone, but 3 phones in 20 years is a good rate. And a big computer, that also earns its keep. And I'm blissfully happy. Debt is *reckless.* Moronically reckless.

In the eyes of some sure but... Humourless pendantry attack: Simon is right. Capitalism does not (necessarily) equal zero laws/regulation. In fact many "capitalist" societies invented regulations on trade long before the term was even coined 👍. Capitalism doesn't even necessitate the use of loans involving interest/ usury. So. Funny wnough Coca-Cola is one of the only non-medical companies to have acess to cocoa leaves. They use the spent leaves in.the recipe. I dont know it affects the taste, but it is still an igredient.
@ShadowReignhart2 жыл бұрын
According to cursory googling, the original recipe which called for whole coca leaves, did in fact get a lot of its flavor from said coca leaves. Upon research showing that cocaine from coca leaves is technically dangerous, they opted to swap out for spent coca leaves, meaning the cocaine is gone, but the flavor isn't. So, yes it does apparently affect the taste, but said taste has been the same since 1904.
@ShadowReignhart2 жыл бұрын
Also, apparently the company that imports the coca plant for processing is the only company legally allowed to process and import it in the entire US. Makes you wonder if there are other companies who use spent coca leaves without a medical reason, but aren't required to say so.
@OtakuUnitedStudio2 жыл бұрын
Coca*, important difference. lol But it does affect the flavor. Every once in a while, I get a bottle that tastes just a bit too much like lawn clippings because they used too much. Most of the time, though, it gives a slight earthy undertone that most other colas lack.

@@OtakuUnitedStudio Thanks I was using a crappy phone with a horrible auto correct, and yeah I just wanted to point out they still do put coca in, just not with the drug.

@@ShadowReignhart I don't think so. I think its mostly just medial use for the one company that uses it, and for coca cola. COcaine has very few uses that are medically accepted.
