Game is really shaping up to be something great with all the additions. I've left it on the backburner for a bit, but your video is giving me the itch to start a new village.

Update 2 added some really good stuff like crop rotations and better mines so it is going in a good direction and the devs do seem to listen to feedback. I think the next big update will be around December-ish so that'll be a great time to come back if you don't scratch that itch sooner!

How did you build plantable trees at 17:32 ? Are those trees able to be cut down for infinite wood?

Those are decorative birches under the decorations menu. Non-harvestable so no infinite hardwood. They only take 5 sticks and 1 rope to make though and have a nice housing bonus. But since they look good I slap them down everywhere.
