Hello. I ran across your channel today and listened to the entire message. In the beginning you mentioned a comment you had received about “you talk too much”. I have decided to follow your channel for that exact reason - you talk and you’re so real and easy to relate to. I’m about to restart my Keto Journey once again and am excited to watch your content while doing so. Thank you for sharing!!

First, you do your videos how it feels good to you. Personally, I like hearing your stories because a lot of it sounds like my own story. Second, 100% relate to the late night eating. Its a struggle. I've learned I can't keep certain things in the house because I can't eat one or two pieces of a trigger item and be happy, I eat the whole dang thing. You're not alone.

I could never have a KZbin channel - I would be crying all the time when people post hurtful comments and from other channels I listen to I think it’s quite common unfortunately! You’re on here to share your journey with us Steph - how are you supposed to do that and not talk to us? Good grief! You keep doing what you’re doing - your followers enjoy your recipes, what you’re struggling with and especially your successes and you’ve had a lot! The story’s changing!!! ❤

You do you Stephy! If someone thinks your videos are too wordy than they can find others. Your videos are more personal and relatable. As for your evening struggles, have you tried Sparkling Ice drinks? That's my treat if I need something sweet. And I also will go for a Ratio Yogurt if I'm actually feeling hungry. I eat a late lunch on work days and fast until breakfast around 7:00. So I really try not to eat anything caloric after 3:00. I love Sparkling Ice! And I find I struggle more when that darn scale gives me a number I don't like. Thank you for sharing your journey with us!

How I’ve handled it… Celebrate when you’re done eating for the day! Get happy and associate that dopamine hit of success with having supplied everything your body needed! Then… When night rolls around, find a new hobby. Crocheting. Loom-knitting. Cross-stitching. Journal-writing. Reading. Watch videos of a hobby and practice along. Sort a stack of papers. Create a scrapbook of your weight loss journey. Engage your hands and your brain. Do different things on different nights. Try each thing for a few days and then, if you don’t like it, move on to something else. And, above all these things, pray for the Lord’s leading and direction to what will give you victory. Personally, I think evenings are worst for feeling bored. All day long we might have things grabbing our attention, but when we slow down, the stresses and emotions can flood us with the desire to self-soothe… which quickly & easily can occur with food. Replace that with some type of “hobby” “craft” or even a “time-waster” that you only do in the time slot. You’ll start looking forward to it more than the other. Just my thoughts about what’s worked/us working for me. ❤

Stephy, you've talked a lot about habits. And the night time eating/ drinking has become a habit for you. What has worked for me (most rime) is to pause and ask myself "How will I feel tomorrow if I eat this food or have this drink? Will it help me move towards my health and weight goals? Or will it cause me to feel like 💩 and possibly gain weight? Or worse.... cause me to slide back to my bad habits?" As a sister in Christ, I agree 100% that our battle is all in the mind. And the Bible addresses this battle quite often. Perhaps you can develop a new habit of having a short devotional focused this topic, or similar topics like self-control. When tempted, pray and lean on Jesus. I'll be 70 next year and I suffer from my poor lifetime choices. So I encourage you to stick with this battle and never give up because your future self depends on today's choices!! Blessings!! ❤

Hi Steph. First time I'm commenting, felt I needed to. I've followed you and you have courage and strength. You kept going and your results speak for themselves. The before and after pics are amazing. Her criticism is not constructive. Please don't change. If she is looking for such let her to go to another channel. She's just jealous. You are sweet and full of energy. You are genuine and real. Thank you for your honesty. We have similar personalities. I think we need to be careful with the labels we give ourselves as words are powerful and they create actions. I know a lot of people who have stopped things like drinking and smoking and they replace this with sweets etc and put on weight. You are too harsh on yourself. Be kind to you. We need to find healthy habits like reading a book, some creative work, going for a walk, writing, listening to music. I have a cut off after supper, which is usually an early supper and then I only allow myself herbal tea. Afterwards I watch tv; play a game on my phone; or watch spiritual you tube video's. For me I need to take care of my stress levels and get good sleep. If I don't sleep well I overeat the next day. Hope this advice helps. Stay strong. Keep going. You've done so well. Write about it. I also need to remember to pray for God to help me with my food. I've lost 60 pounds. Take care

Is it possible for me to check in with you each day, so that I have some accountability. I'm not on Facebook. I've done another type of egg fast which isn't keto at dinner time and that's worked for me. Want to try this one. How were your bathroom habits when doing this? How much water did you drink? Did you exercise when doing the egg fast?

I went Keto at the beginning of 2020. I took 6 weeks to transition from the Standard American Diet (SAD) to clean Keto. It took 9 months to lose 30 pounds of excess weight. Then I stalled but I did not see a reason to give up. I experimented with fasting, eliminating coffee, dairy, keto sweeteners, and combinations of that and other things over the next 2 1/2 years. Still no movement from the scale but because I was feeling so good, I didn't stress about it. It wasn't until I went Carnivore that I broke through my stall and dropped the remaining 10 pounds from my original goal. And wouldn't you know, I dropped even more! I am now retaining that loss and eating only animal products.

Yes! the story is changing! It actually has already changed and keeps changing! :) To answer about your talking too much comment - This is your channel! This is as much for you as you have made it for us! I guess someone could fast forward or whatever if they dont like something, right?? When you talk, we get to know you and your journey that much more. Not everyone is going to agree on how you do something especially on this public platform. (smh) Keep doing the great job you are doing! As far as suggestions, you could push your dinner time out an hour? but when i listen to you, it tells me its not about hunger. so do the veggies not work? Maybe you can get some fruit and eat some of that because it is sweet but not exactly like eating sweets? Maybe a dessert using your chaffles? Possibly a yummy protein drink? A i've mentioned before, it seems like you are trading one addiction for another... but you just need to put something in during that time. Is it too late for a walk? not sure what time of night we are talking here? If you have a treadmill you could replace that time with exercise unless you would rather wind down. those are a few suggestions. My problem is not so much eating at night. I have other issues...lol.

Commenting under my hubbys acct. Can you change your nightly routine. Maybe a hobby, are you crafty, or can you edit your videos, or walk, even just arou d the house. Read about the 12 step program maybe, read on addictions and cycle breaking. Or is there underlying issues or emotions that surface at night when the day has quieted down and you are left with yourself and you turn to what comforts you? Never stop being you. I talk and talk as well. Be you and a yone who has a problem with that can find another channel.😊

I like to drink sugar-free hot chocolate at night, and even with marshmallows! 😮 haha! Amazon has a good sf hot chocolate called Nomu. Really good. I also eat some cheese if I’m hungry before bed. Hope that helps, and no, you don’t talk too much. 😂 Oh, and a miracle happened to me today at Walmart! I didn’t buy the pumpkin donuts! Are you kidding me?! Who is this?! 😂

No you don’t talk too much. Some people are abysmally unknowledgeable about how one shares one’s health and wellness journey. For the other question, What about getting very involved with some series reading for a while in evenings? Have you read every single Agatha Christie or every single Sue Grafton ? Or pick your favourite author and make sure you read Everything that person ever wrote. It would certainly take up your time, trips to library, to bookstores, book friends, sort of addictively, and could possibly keep you from the munchies. Good luck .
