It is stunning the amount of "Incubus fans" I just discovered absolutely hate this album. People are insufferable. I can't comprehend not liking this album, of all the albums. This to me, is the album that cemented their musicianship and catapulted them to another level of legendary status. It widened their sound and catalogue to a place more similar to Primus, Rage Against The Machine, or even Ween for me, in that, they are the only band that sounds like them.

To me Incubus was the band that came to me like a breath of fresh air when I was drowning in depression as a kid ❤ a lot of bands like Nirvana.. I'm 42 and have been an Incubus fan since '99. Me and my bandmates actually got to hang out backstage and smoke with them back in 2000. They were introducing some of the songs off what would become "Morningview", and they just killed it. In fact, I've seen them live at least 10 times and they're one of the few bands that can sound exactly like their recordings. My 5 and 7 yr old daughters have become fans and Aqueous Transmission" or as they call it, "the frog song" is their favorite.

@@cdawg3 If I disliked the few songs I have heard since MV, I surely must have also not listened to them much if they do indeed have some heavy songs!? ;) There has always been a fine line for me regarding vocal styles where I felt it crossed a line toward sounding like something a 90’s boyband would produce; acoustic Make Yourself album sessions for example -but hey it’s just my opinion no offence intended. This album brings back memories from college! I remember when this came out and winter was setting in and I'd be at the computer, dinosaur of a rig that thing was; listening to this CD, and it was just a special time. I really like the guitar work on this album, the chord progression, and the more somber tone than "Make Yourself" had. I only found out recently watching an interview with Brandon Boyd that "Wish You Were Here" is not as happy a song as the melody makes it out to be.
