The truth is being twisted. Kwame Nkrumah wanted a United States of Africa, but he realized that many African leaders wanted it slowly, that was why he opted for Organization of African Unity..Also, it was the West that sabotaged his factories with sanctions and threat. Kwame Nkrumah. Finally, Kwame Nkrumah was never a dictator. He wanted to implement his policies of developing Ghana and Africa in general over a long period of time.To do this, he had to work with some Ghanaians to amend the constitution to enable him execute his good economic policies

Thanks for your comment! Nkrumah is rightly credited for his pan-African ideals. We also now know more and more about the complex operations of Western intelligence operatives in Africa at the time, which may have undermined some of Nkrumah's efforts. Yet his economic policies did cause hardship for many Ghanaians.

@dw_podcasts No, decreasing cocoa prices and other commodities on the global market, coupled West's attempt to make him fail was the reason for the economic slowdown in Ghana that period. The economy was not all that bad.

Talk about how western imperialism and colonialism shaped Africa. Talk about slavery.

Where did you guys get your information. Always narrate the story from the intent of Kwame Nkrumah. Everything Nkrumah wanted to do was in the good interest of Ghana and Africa. We always praise Singapore, china and co because you need a visionary leader to hold the country for some years before they can transition to democracy. Every bill he passed was approved by the parliament. You guys are painting him as a wicked dictator. Read his books and understand him better. If you talked about his fight against neo colonialism and imperialism you would understand him better. Look at Africa now we are still divided. We do not even have one currency or a single market. His overthrow has nothing to do with lost of love from Ghanaians but an orchestrated attempt to sabotage his visions which will make Africa strong and they use his own people to stop him just like what you guys are saying trash about him.
