Morning Gabe. When I was last in Rajasthan I went to Būndi, on the eastern edge of the state. Pencil it in if you’ve time. Pure amazing Rajasthan without any of the crowds but incredible stepwells and fort. I stayed in the Elephant Stable Haveli right under the fort and can’t recommend it enough. Really great wee city.

For people who don’t know about US deplorable public transportation and astronomical cost of Ubers and taxis, a privately owned car is essential. …at least where I live. Good that you have a car waiting for you. Do you have a method of putting insurance on hold while you travel or do you pay it even when not using it? The dunes are so lovely. “…went to university…” You’re losing your American linguistic conventions! 😄 Jim Morrison has a great speaking voice and I agree the poetry on An American Prayer is good stuff. The figures riding on horse carved on stone are in memory of brave people who would have died fighting against invading forces who would have attacked the village to rob them. Every village have their own hero’s and they honour them in this way

The kids at the end mentioned "Singh" as their last names, which means the village has a significant "Rajput" or other warrior caste population. Horse & sword are atypical symbolism of bravery, I would think.

Hi Gabriel, that was some walk into the desert the village of Khuri is such a quiet place. I find it interesting that people would want to live in such a location. I'm sure that everything must be brought in from the outside. The story you tell about Jim Morrison and Matthew McConaughey, you first told us about it in Australia when someone in your video comments said it was something, Matthew said first you corrected him stating no it was Jim Morrison first. By any chance are you thinking about Australia again being you're very close by?
