Prof US wanted India to keep China engaged in Ladakh. So that it faces a 2 front situation when it moves on Taiwan. Now that we have made peace with China, we are of no use to US. I see Pannun issue escalating, reduction in defense cooperation, propping up of Pak(& BNG) and may be even sanctions. And we even don't know till when China will not again escalate. Tough times ahead!

Think Indian side went all out to find a solution with China following several events of hostile behavior by the West - the continuous support to criminal gangs masquerading as Khalistanis ( Khalistan after all is a British Pakistani project of the last century which has been supported by the Anglo Saxon world) , delaying weapons supply to India, the American funded removal of Sheikh Hasina, American insistance on war in Israel and Ukraine which imposes high costs on India etc. Indian concerns on China remain but the West is quite hostile to India. China and India accept the issues but the West, particularly US & Canada, claims friendship but it's actions are quite different. India probably thinks Harris will win the elections and will continue the current policy
