I mean the money gov gets for these projects is through taxes, without private sector flourishing even that fund stagnates.For private sector to flourish, you need reforms to which there hasn't been any significant improvement.

Extreme ecological disturbance and the initial capital costs for such a project connecting all the rivers of the country which are a lot, to say the least. This kind of initiative is too expensive because the topography of the country changes rapidly even with in a state. There are many other aspects like political will, mismanagement risks as well.

I have been avidly following the developments in Veligonda Tunnels project. Yet, this is the first fully technical video that cleared my many doubts. Thanks to Johnny's Desk. As per the video (work on first tunnel boring was completed) the second tunnel work would be finished by 2021 end. So, can we assume that the second tunnel boring too, is complete by now (June 2022)? If it is so, its good news & as Srisailam reservoir gets filled up in this monsoon, it provides water (raising water level in Kollamvagu for the water to flow in tunnels), filling the Pula Subbayya reservoir in Prakasam district, for the first time. The project is as important for Rayalaseema districts, as Polavaram project is for coastal districts.
