LOVE the Mama Mia theme shower!! So cute and unique! To me just as a viewer, it seems like that’s what you truly want. But all of them are so fun! I also love the nursery ideas! So lovely. Can’t go wrong, really. I can’t tell you what’s best for your family but I will say whatever you do, it’s smart to think ahead like what will translate well as time goes on or if you have more children and they’re different genders, etc. But enjoy making it a space you also find beautiful and refreshing now. 🙂

What strikes me about this video is that India has to CONSTANTLY clarify that she’s not judging anyone for having a different opinion, experience, reaction, body shape, etc… It must be so exhausting to always worry that people are going to come after you in the comments for every little statement that you make.
@lealea123684 күн бұрын
I could not agree more. I see this with so many wonderful people who speak on platforms like this. Smart, caring, dear people who know that no matter what they say and how they say it, even when it’s about their own experiences, someone or many someone’s will come for them on the comments. It’s crazy what a self absorbed, make it all about me culture we live in. I adore following the journeys of people in all forms and diverse subject matter. Count me out of the crowd who will somehow make India’s amazing content into a personal problem. Let’s’ build up instead of tear down!❤

My daughters baby shower was last Sunday and she loved it. She tried for 5 yrs to get pregnant and it finally happened. You have whichever theme brings you the most joy. As far as the nursery, I am a nature girl and LOVE the Swan theme. Its warm and cozy imo. We did a pondscape theme with frogs and dragonflies for my grandsons nursery. He will be here in February and I am so excited! Congrats Mama! Cant wait to see what you decide to do.

I think the Mama Mia theme fits your personality and the vision you described of having a celebratory time with family and friends the best! Also I think the swan theme is so cute and also suits your personality. Personally I lean towards neutrals in paint and furniture and just add in fun decor and fun colors to make the space feel cozy, but also the vibe that I’m going for in that particular room. Whatever you choose will be great and perfect for baby boy! Love following your journey! Praying for more energy for you and safe delivery for mom and baby!

19:01 swans mate for life. Fits and is so versatile 👌So that for nursery. Also: Mamma Mia for the baby shower, you have your mind set on that ❣️ Also about baby bump, mine didn’t show at all before the 30weeks or so. And then it kinda blew in one night. So the scars 😮… but learned to love those scars too. Also my little one was sending ”soda bubbles” felt like what you can feel bubbles in jacuzzi(?) inside my stomach also early weeks. I knew I was pregnant, I wasn’t even late more than a day, but I just knew. But then at 36weeks I had a haaaaard pain at my chest and luckily we were close to a hospital. I was sure I was having a heart attack (skinny, healthy 😅, no stress, but the pain) well turned out that the little one is a spicy on. Had kicked one rib having a fracture. Also my cousin who’s been pregnant 5 times and has 1 pair of twins have never had such a kick than she experienced with my spicy doing. You could really see the outline of the little foot 🦶 😂😂😂 kicking. It didn’t feel especially good.. I am hoping for everything good for the rest of the pregnancy and for the birth. I hope you have a chance to read this. 🫶 Greetings from my far north corner of Europe

I'm a mom of 2 boys. I gained exactly 45lbs with each pregnancy - definitely more than the recommended amount! My angel OB told me that in her experience (pre-eclampsia aside), your body knows EXACTLY what it needs to keep you and baby healthy, and it's never worked out trying to fight your body on weight during pregnancy. I also have a short torso, and she warned me that my bump would essentially be my whole torso and not to compare against friends with different body builds

I am so happy for you, India. I have had a miscarriage, then went on to have 2 healthy pregnancies. I had ideas of a delivery plan for my first full term pregnancy, but 7 months along, I found out that he was breach and he had NO room to flip. (I am 6' 2" tall and WAS very thin). So things definitely changed. Then my second came along and was told he was head down and ready. That night I went to the hospital in labor only to find out that he was also breach. All that to say, do not get your heart set on anything when it comes to delivery. As long as baby is healthy when the time comes, just roll with it. Much love to you. I love your updates! ♥️♥️

As far as weight gain, don’t stress about it. I started underweight with my first and I gained a total of about 60 pounds. I’m on pregnancy 5 in 5 years and I am a solid 100 pounds heavier than when I got pregnant with my first. Your body is performing a miracle and you’re taking care of yourself and your body and that is the only thing that matters. I’ve prayed for you for a long time in the fertility and the TTC journey situations and I’ve continued to pray for your pregnancy journey. My current prayer for you is for you to have a positive, healthy, wonderful labor and delivery. For all the trials you’ve had just to get where you are, I pray you get the birth experience you want and that it is positive and healthy. ❤

It sounds good in theory but when I really think about it, that’s such a strange choice for a baby. She doesn’t seem like the type who would want the first years of life of her child to focus on brands/materialism and so serious.

You may be tired, but you're beautiful anyway. I really dig the swan theme. It gives a lot of different things for baby and others to look at and explore, and it enlarges a room. I think I was around four months along before I felt the first kick with my first, and five months along with the second. I'm glad you guys are developing a birthing plan. Some doctors don't really care about that kind of thing, so, unless an emergency arises, it's great to know what you want, and can relay that to the medical staff. Many blessings and much health to your baby, you, and all in your family.

It's so nice to see you on my feed again, India! It made me happy to see your new video pop up. It's been a little while since your last video, and I was beginning to wonder if you were doing ok. Glad to see that you are! For the baby shower themes, I think if you want more of just a fun, celebration, party feeling then you should go for the Mama Mia theme. If you aren't tied to that, my favorite personally is the Peter Rabbit theme. For the nursery, my favorite theme was the second one with the swan/river wallpaper. All suggested themes were great though. I also wanted to suggest some content for you from some creators that I follow and really enjoy. Brooklyn and Bailey are twin content creators and entrepreneurs in Texas and they have been posting a lot of pregnancy content lately because Brooklyn just had a baby boy earlier this month. Their latest video was one they pre-recorded where Brooklyn shared a lot of things that were helpful for her during her pregnancy (recorded nearing the end of her third trimester) and I thought you might enjoy some of what she talked about and find it useful/helpful. She also shared a birth story vlog you might be interested in. Just wanted to recommend that for you, India. God bless! I hope you have a wonderful baby shower, so happy for you 💙

I think you should do whatever sounds the best to you! The baby won’t have any memory’s of it anyway 😅 but for the room I like the dark room but it would be very hard to change up if you do want to make it into a girls room down the road. I think the cloud room is a good neutral room but you could also change your mind about that if you have a girl down the road so I’d say go with the boys room! I like the idea of the vintage base ball stuff too. I’m so excited for you!! ❤

I love the tea party theme for the shower, but I'm drawn to the Beatrix Potter theme. My daughter's first plate, bowl, cup and spoon were Beatrix Potter. A little nostalgic, I guess. I love the nursery theme with the clouds. To me, it was like enveloping a theme of a gift from God. Those are just my thoughts. I've been following you for so long, and with all of your "girlie" talks, I just feel like I know you. I can't wait to see that beautiful baby. 🩵🩵🩵

The second you said mamma mia I was like YES PLEASE!!! 🤌🏻 Such a fun, heart-full theme that’ll send you off on the right foot towards so much joy! Also for the nursery, I do really love the Ralph Lauren theme bc it’s just so classic and it could work for both genders, but I think the swan theme is a perfect mix of gentle calm and baby. You’re going to be spending a lot of time in there, and it just feels so serene. Plus, it gives baby boy the option of having a say in decorating his own room when he gets older! Whatever you choose will be gorgeous though. There’s not a wrong option. 🫶🏻

Most of the time babies sleep in the room with their parents for a while 🤍 don’t stress about the nursery. It also helps lower the risk for SIDS by sharing a room. The bee theme is my favorite but because it’s just such a beautiful one and I’ve never seen it done before. But I’m a very muted person and couldn’t handle something like mama Mia. Too fun and it would stress me out 😂

I love the Mama Mia theme. For the room, I like more neutral colors, especially because even dark colors can set a mood for you and your baby when are in there and may or not you be the mood you want to set for the two of you. Another thought, more often then not, regardless of what you choose for the room there will a change to the room either because your son will grow out of look and want to put their own vision into the room. Or there is baby #2 and you want a new theme to represent that or what mindset you are in at that time

I admire your baby bump! Yhe whole reason i clicked on the video was i couldn't believe you're filming a second trimester recap considering your bump looks so slim. I'm in my first trimester and struggling to find things to fit already and don't want people to know yet. I do bloat extremely easily, which doesn't help.

The baby shower ideas all sounded cute, but the Mama Mia one sounds the most exciting and memorable. I'd also choose the "boy-ish" Ralph Lauren room for the baby because the other themes you'll probably get tired of especially as the baby grows. Sometimes people do a new theme every year for each of their kids and if that's you that's fine too! I had a smaller budget for my kids; when it came time to do their rooms I chose new sheets, a few toys & clothes for whatever theme I was going for. My daughter had a Noah's ark/animal theme and my son's was whales/fish (Just a side-note for any expecting moms who might not be able to afford a fully-curated room or fancy decor).

I think what I did for my “nursery” theme worked out really well. Baby stays in the parents room for quite a while usually. I put the crib in a corner of our room and decorated it with a baby theme. Then for her bedroom, we went full on kid with lots of color and fun. Kids don’t want a baby theme or a serious, mature look. They want a kid theme and they grow out of the baby phase fast!

So much to comment on! I love the Mama Mia theme but I'm biased because I love love love those movies. Your tie in is great! I wrote you when you had your ectopic pregnancy as I had one too... Long long ago when they didn't have ultrasound and had to do a laparotomy along with removing the tube. I had 2 more babies (I already had a 3 year old) Next one was my second boy. I was thrilled. Third was a girl also before they did routine ultrasounds. They had them but not for sex identification. Sooooo many people said they bet I wanted a girl. I kept saying I just want a healthy baby! I even said My Three Sons would be great! Welp, while still in the hospital, several people said, you must be so glad you had a girl and even I know you wanted a girl. It really bugged me. Yes I was ecstatic with my girl but didn't they hear me? I also would've been ecstatic with another boy!! Ugh!! OK moving on, I love all your nursery ideas. You have to do what makes you happy. One thing I did read was babies see contrast and are stimulated by it. Moving on again, as a crisis pregnancy counselor since 1984 and having made birth plans and taken classes with all three children, kudos!! Be as prepared as possible. It makes a world of difference and plan for the delivery experience you want but have backup plans too. I had all mine natural with breathing. But with my third, as c-sec rates had gone up, I read two books on c-secs plus I was almost 35 when they tend to go up because of more breech presentations. Sure enough, breech! I knew that with a third baby and full dialation and the baby moving through the birth canal and a doctor older and trained to deliver breech vaginally, I could opt for a vaginal birth. By that time it was unheard of but the doctor was glad because that's what he was trained to do but was hampered by lawsuits and current dictates. So change of plan. No giving birth in the same bed as I labored in. No brothers in the room. Off to delivery and a quick vaginal birth because a breech must be delivered in one push. Ouch! But worth it. Anyhow all that to say preparation is key. I tried to drum that into my clients but many didn't listen. I really consider all my births as the most joyous days of my life and, because of preparation, very manageable and more work than pain for the most part. This is exciting! I was also a LeLeche League mom and have coached and helped many with breast feeding. I'd love to help you if you have any questions.... Or find a LeLeche League number. You can Google that if you're wanting to breastfeed. Almost all problems have a remedy! Enjoy! I miss those days! Love the grandkids I got though! And I know your beautiful mom will too! ❤️ 🙏

15:51 into the vid and YES! A flexible birth plan is key. Know what you want, but on the fly be prepared to do what is best for you and baby. I had a very specified birth plan (and after care plan) for my baby back in 2007 when my baby was born. I wanted for a birth experience, natural / no drugs/ birth tub at the ready if I needed it to ease pain (instead of epideral), but my baby a couple of weeks before due date was turned wrong and I had gone into early labor. I went to my weekly apporintment and was on ultrasound and my dr said ok so you are in stage 1 of labor. Stage 3 is "active" Pushing labor. You are going to have this baby in the next couple of days. The baby is turned breach and she does not have room to turn correctly. giving birth naturally will break the baby's thigh bones. The baby will be in leg casts for at least 2 to 3 months of life. You also have a chance of ending up in an emergency c-section which is problematic for you and baby. We could admit you today. Baby had good lungs and heart and is ready. We could schedule a c for this even and you have a baby by 7pm. No need to keep you 2 more weeks. You're call. I made the call to have my baby by scheduled c that day. I wish I had a chance to have another baby with my OG birth plan but I have only the one child to date (thyroid issues lead to fertility issues!) and I have zero regrets on my baby's birth. So, don't let the internet tell you shit. You work with your doctor, and you go with your gut. I'm keeping you and your baby in my thoughts. I know you got this, Little Momma! Please message me if you have questions about my birth experience. I had Elora at Northside Hospital in downtown Atlanta.

Love the Beatix Potter baby shower and the Swan room ❤🦢🐇 Congratulations India! Your baby is so blessed to have you as his Mom 🫶🙌 I am almost in my second trimester after years of infertility. Praise God no losses... just years of nothing. We were in fact, on the matching list for adoption and then found out I was pregnant 🙌 Such a miracle for us and we are so grateful but the pregnancy has also been rough mentally and physically. I swore I would never complain if I could just have a healthy pregnancy but surprise surprise... we are only human. And pregnancy is a huge change. Trying hard not to complain and I am SO eternally thankful for this baby.. but also allow myself the grace to cry when I am feeling all the challenges. Life is beautiful 💓✨️ happy to be pregnant at the same time as you

For the nursery, I love the3rd option specially since they can grow up in the same bedroom. You can go all girly when you have a baby girl. 🎀

SISTER I CANT DECIDE!!!! i think the piece of the puzzle that will help me is figuring out if we will always use that room that's closest to our room as the "nursery" or if that room will grow with him specifically. does that make sense? im debating btw 2 & 3 for that reason

The 1st nursery room was my fave

Just have to say in case it helps anyone, especially with no budget to make a "nursery" decor... I spent 99.9% of my infants life in the living room on a nice glider that isn't "infant glider" looking. My oldest is almost 20 and we still use it daily and love it in the living room. I just say this because babies turn into toddlers insanely fast, and it's nice to wait to discover their personalities, to start putting money into paint and art they enjoy. That said, the swans seem really retro, vintage and cool. :)

I remember being breech until about 28 weeks. And my son would shove his head up into my ribs, with a foot jabbing into a painful spot by my left hip. And when he finally flipped, it felt like he was constantly trying to escape butt first through the top of my stomach
