New Hyundai Verna 2023 was finally launched in India today at a starting price of Rs 10.87 lacs (ex-showroom), whereas the top-end 1.5L Turbo variant costs Rs 17.37 lacs (ex-showroom). Killer looks. However, if I have to buy a 1.5 NA engine, I will opt for Honda City any day. And if, I have to buy 1.5 Turbo, then nothing can beat the real-life performance of Slavia. In my opinion, Verna should have retained their diesel engine. It was their usp in the segment.

Honda City has camera based ADAS only. This has three radars in addition to the camera. So, while Honda City only ticks the ADAS checkbox but is very limited, the Verna has proper Level 2 ADAS.

If you want a family car and a natural aspirated engine, close your eyes and go for city. If you're a youngster and care only about dynamics go for VW group. If you want best of both worlds, verna is the perfect balance between the two

If you want safety go with City and if you want features go with Verna....Check Verna's brochure if ADAS is available for SX variant. Edit: ADAS is only available for Automatic transmission SX(O) variant.
