What about the gunship-equipped desi medium transport aircraft, similar to the US A-130, mounted on the C-390? Is it even slightly feasible? If pirates and other non-state actors act as our enemies' proxies, CAS might be necessary. The A-130 is legendary for its exploits, and the Taliban feared it.

Jet Airways wide body fleet comprised of 13 brand new B777-300 ER & 8 A340-500 HGW . . . the airframes were returned to their lessor years back . . . it's remaining fleet of B737-800 & B737-900 ER are in storage since 2016 . . . although some of the airframes were repossessed by their lessor . . . airframes like the B767-300 ER & A330-900 Neo are best suited to airborne command & control . . .

Apache is a heavy attack helicopter, Prachand is a light attack helicopter. Plus Apache has fly by wire control system, and same radar as F-22s.

These fundamental shortcomings are unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. With this reality in mind, China can easily divert its attention to the western front but remains focused on the eastern front, particularly the Taiwan issue. Subsequently, it may redirect its attention back to the west, to the Indian direction.
