Indian FTR 1200 S Cat & Baffle Delete! First Mod! Very Loud!

Just picked up this 2019 Indian FTR 1200 S! The first this I had to do was order an exhaust, intake and tuner. But I’m very impatient when it comes to waiting for parts so I had to remove the baffles out of the stock Akrapovic exhaust these S models come with! I think I sounds pretty decent now 👌
Thank you for the help from my buddy Chris for filming and using some muscle to get these baffles ripped out of the muffler!

It’s hard to tell on video, but it seems like reducing the restriction lowers the gas velocity and increased gas volume and makes the tone a little deeper. I prefer the sound for sure.

I’m surprised the drill but didn’t snap from all that friction. Lower speed and some lubricant goes a long way.

It’s sounded great. Wasn’t to loud, had a little more exhaust crackle. Better than with the baffles. I’m running a racefit now. Will be putting a video up in a few days

You could have drilled the rivets out, taken off the end cap pull out the baffles and lessened the pipe wrap if you wanted, then re-rivet the end cap back on. Instead of drilling more holes.

I did that to my 2022 carbon,and got a couple of akrapovic plugs to cover the holes perfection 👌

@6:00 If one were to take those pliers and place them at the corners of the license plate I'm sure those rrrrrr🤢reflectors🤮 would screw out then we can flip them around or buy tag screws, please. Otherwise wonderful machine! I dig it.

It’s an S. You’re thinking of a carbon. Base models don’t come with this exhaust or the digital speedometer….

Those circle surrounds come off 🤦‍♂️ no need to drill, the two holes already should of been installed at bolt obviously cause that’s how all akropovics are 🤷‍♂️

Yup they came off but that’s not where the bolt was to unscrew the baffle, which is why I drilled a hole.
