Indian Head in the Adirondack Mountains is an epic overlook (summit) perched 750 feet above the Ausable Lakes within the private land of the Adirondack Mountain Reserve (AMR). With amazing views of the the Ausable Lakes, Mt Colvin, Sawteeth, and portions of the Great Range, it has become one of the most iconic Instagram photos in the High Peaks region. It is arguably one of the best views in the Adirondacks.
This is one of the best hikes in the Adirondacks. The hike is about 9 miles round trip originating from the Ausable Rd trails head near St. Huberts across from the Roaring Brook Falls Trailhead.
