My family and I have stayed there many times, also in the campgrounds and my children went to summer camp across the highway. Don't miss out on a trip to the observatory, you won't be disappointed. On your way from Midland-Odessa stop in Balmorehea. And stay an extra week by touring Big Bend, another hidden gem.

Stayed there on several occasions, love Fort Davis, definitely worth the drive. I have mixed feelings about one of my favorite areas of Texas and the Indian Lodge getting so much attention.

Well dang, I just looked their website, and they will be closed for one year for renovations, January 2023 to January 2024.
