It seems that instead of being the first to develop the state, Ancient Greece had been one of the first civilisations who made democracy. China and India seem to have developed their own ways of governing.

Even Greece was not even perfect democracy where are people had equal democracy.

Greece democracy was not even a good government compared to everyone else at the time. They tried and failed again and again at disconected periods of time. To get it going it never worked. There were no sucessfull democracies. There was a Republic with Democrats in it once. I cant think of anything else anyone would get confused about and think is a democracy when trying to give credit to democracy. Pretty much all governments are Monarch, a Republic or a Banna Republic for when they want to get around Republic laws. All the other governments types failed. I know there were people tried to give the three socialist governments a try but everyone quit running them. Even the Communist left them after realizing they would lose everything so they decided to go with a republics run by a communist party in a similar way to how democrats keep trying to take over republics. It was pretty much like that everywhere besides places like Russia which went with elected Monarch.

Emperor of Nanda Empire of India was from Dalit caste. Strange if you think about the general theories about caste system in ancient India.
@whoisjoe5610
@whoisjoe5610 Жыл бұрын
First of all, the Nanda emperor was the son of a barber, which is not a Dalit caste (that would be the untouchables). Secondly, the low status of the Nanda emperor was one of the biggest reasons in their general hatred amongst their subjects, so I don't understand what exactly you are trying to peddle here.

@@whoisjoe5610 barbers were the lowest caste other than untouchables. So how a lower caste man became an emperor if caste was the main reason for anyone becoming a ruler or not. According to the historians who " peddle " the theory that the hierarchy of society was depended on caste, how a lower caste man became an emperor ?

@@whoisjoe5610 Dalit doesn't necessarily mean Untouchables. And Nanda's were not given an empire, they made an empire. That cannot happen if your masses hate you.

It does take a long long time in democratic societies to get things done when its a larger size democracy, the United States is only now starting to see some high speed rail lines but only in certain areas (New England and Florida have proven far better at it then my home state of California). While India does have a massive population which will require more time in order to finish constructing its state, it luckily is 1/3 the size of the USA meaning that its density will help it create infrastructure projects faster and the more projects it finishes the faster itll get with finishing projects. Like with building nuclear power plants if its been decades since one has been built it will take forever for those building it to relearn the skills needed to build a new one while decades ago when many were being built it was a much faster processes. It does possibly make some sense on why bigger projects are being completed before smaller projects, Japan for instance was able to overtake America in car manufacturing because their infrastructure ensured a better supply chair that didnt need to be concentrated all in one area (different car parts were produced and kept in different areas of Japan) while in the USA it was all produced and stored in one area. Im hopeful that just as the USA and India have agreed to partner on the technological production and recently involving India's space program and the USA's NASA more areas of cooperation can be found (for instance Japanese expertise on high speed rail, India's ability to produce the necessary parts and having the capability to produce them rapidly as theyve shown the capability to do so with their fast pace at building new highways and America's need to connect areas in the Southern US and Western US to a transportation system since there arent waterways in those areas like you find in the interior that make transportation goods easy and cheap and so that our passenger rail lines arent sharing the same tracts as its commercial rail lines which would help increase movement of goods and help increase on high speed rail lines the faster pace and uptick in usage of passengers moving by rail across regions within the US)

Hey there CG, I hate to be annoying on this but did you have any plans on uploading the next part to India and Pakistan Continuing Story? Sorry to be so insistent but I wanted to hear your opinions on the more modern things Kraut brings up and whether you agree or not

@@InquisitorXarius its just common-folk political perception; it went something like this: the name Joseon is formally continued by the DPRK, but the ROK chose to go with the Daehan/Hanguk of the short-lived Korean Empire. largely due to that first bit, on top of a perception that the later Joseon were corrupt and weak, AND the name right after independent Korea's abolition having been Joseon (just with a Japanese filter) led to the common folk gradually seeing that term as... insulting so yea, like you said, political hoopla, but from their POV i think i kinda get that
