One of the most beautiful customizations that I have seen yet!!!! Delete front fender, drag bars, custom rectangle mirror hook up, 1920's solo seat!!!!!! We have the exact same taste!!!! Just bought a 2024 Scout Bobber in sagebrush smoke last week. Will look to customize mine just like yours real soon! That's a fact!

Thanks for watching. The Scout was definitely a game changer in the motorcycle industry.

Rather than drilling holes into your bars you can file down the nipple but just leave a small amount on it, it will grip the bar when you clamp them together. Plus it makes them easier to adjust if you need to.
@oxouk3 жыл бұрын
Not a bad idea. I’ll try that out on my next project. Thank you.

What are your thoughts on removing that front fender. I noticed that it made it's way back in later videos.

Hey there. Love your Bobber, well done. I’ve just purchased one over here (Australia) and will start customising it soon. Love the decals you have in the tyres. I found a place that makes them but need a template to get the size and script correct. Was wondering if you can help? I could probably order them from the same place actually. Anyway any help would be great. Thanks. Cheers Simon.
@oxouk3 жыл бұрын
Simon, those are actually the stock tyres. The 2017 and 2018 Scouts came with Kenda tyres which had the Indian logo stamped on them. All I did was use a white paint pen on the raised letters.
@simoncalleia88923 жыл бұрын
Oh really, wow I didn’t know that. Sadly that’s not the case over here. Anyway looks fantastic so I’ll see what I can do to get some decals. Thanks for the reply. Ride safe. Cheers.

Hey what exhaust pipes are those? I am wiating for my 2022 bobber and this vid gives me so much ideas to have fun with my motorcycle when it arrives next month.
@oxouk2 жыл бұрын
Those are Rinehart slip ons. Not too loud yet way throatier than stock. I no longer have those pipes but highly recommend them.

Where did you get the mirrors man? Really like them. I have visibility issues with the flipped stock ones
@oxouk3 жыл бұрын
The mirror mounts are the stock ones. I just cut them down. The actual mirrors are just some cheap Ebay black rectangle mirrors. They were like $24. I just unscrewed them from their mounts and used JB Weld to mount them to my stock ones that I cut. Check out my video list. There is a video of the process.

do you have to buy a whole new clutch and brake cable kit for the new handlebars?
@oxouk4 жыл бұрын
No new cables needed. You will have a little more slack, but too little to even notice.

nice build, whats the difference between this drag bar and other ones listed for much less? i'm in the market for one but i'm curious to know whats makes this bar almost $400.. i think they look awesome tho... just trying to get the right one thanx
@oxouk4 жыл бұрын
Most cheap drag bars on the market are either 1" or 7/8". 7/8" bars require shims at the mounting post to make it 1" per factory specs. The ones I have are 1" but the ends are 7/8" to accommodate the grips, so no adapters or shims are required. Also the powdercoating on the cheaper ones will chip and scratch real easily when trying to mount them. Honestly I just got tired of trying to find ones that I wouldn't have to mess with. After all, the part of the bike that keeps you upright and on the road should spare no cost.

Where did you purchase those mirrors?
@thai14754 жыл бұрын
Hi. How did you do the brake/clutch levers to get them black?
@oxouk4 жыл бұрын
Thai I took them off and had them powdercoated. It cost me around $25.

Where’d you buy the headlight?
@oxouk5 жыл бұрын
Scotty Davo I bought the Indian headlight from EBay and the flat tracker headlight from Cafe 4 Racer.com. The Indian headlight was $251 on EBay, $300 if you buy it straight from Indian.

@@oxouk I would like to change the original handlebar of my Scout Bobber for a drag bar like yours, but I am afraid that the mirrors in the tank may collide when the handlebar is turned. The law obliges me that the handlebar must not be larger than 90 centimeters and the original mirrors. Could you help me? Thank you
@oxouk4 жыл бұрын
@@miriampulidomunoz1988 If you are using stock bar end mirrors on these drag bars then you will be fine. They will not be longer than 90cm in total length. Before I changed my mirrors, they did not hit the tank. Just be sure to check for clearance before tightening everything down and you'll be fine.
@marcowerner87395 жыл бұрын
What makes this bike so incredibly beautiful is the original headlight housing. Why would you ever consider changing them to those ugly ones?
@oxouk5 жыл бұрын
Marco Werner. Haha. I knew that flat tracker style would be controversial. Sometimes when you get the mod bug, you have to see something in person, step back and say...maybe not. Believe me, I’ve made some bad decisions before.

@@oxouk I saw that guy from england that mounted those on his scout and I started to scream. I want to leave my bobber as untouched as possible. But I get your point. Once you started you can't stop.
@anthonysteckle3 жыл бұрын
Did you have to install any risers to allow the bars to clear the tank? Also too, how’s the riding comfort? Drag bars look sick af.
@oxouk3 жыл бұрын
No risers were needed. Just don’t tighten everything down until you check all your clearance. You will have to loosen your brake banjo, and rotate it slightly to clear the headlight bezel. Just minor tweaking. Riding comfort is fine, although ask me after a 3 hour ride.
