Time for separate administration. The Meitei's using violence to attack Kukis in Manipur is a fact. The narrative of Meitei failed spectacularly😂 so it is not surprising that Meitei has remained adamant in opposing the separate administration issues but they know the hills area inhabited by Kukis cannot be claimed as Meitei land. Ill-fated May 4th morning around 9-10 am, MLA Vungzagin Valte's escort/convoy team (coming from sana keithel where couple of houses belonging to kuki VIPs were set on fire) was stopped by a large AT/meitei mob (who were checking/frisking vehicles) at rims rd near lalambung pukhri achouba. When he was positively identified, AT guys let the escort personnel from 2 escorts vehicles go and said to him in meiteilon/manipuri language- "since you're an MLA/elected representative, we respect you, but tell your people in ccpur who've captured our people to relase them, in exchange we'll also release you." To which, he turned to his PA (who's a meitei) and replied in English (in a condescending tone)- "i don't know manipuri, can you translate what he's saying".That triggered the AT guys, they said "what! how come you don't know manipuri language" and they started grabbing his neck with their arms and started bashing him black and blue, tearing his clothes. Then, from amongst the mob, meitei middle-aged women (who couldn't watch any longer) snatched him and his driver (who was kuki) from the AT mob and quickly took/hid him inside the nityananda temple nearby to save them, and later let him and his driver quietly sneak out from the other side. Unfortunately, AT guys saw that and they followed them like anything (running after them on foot/3-4 people hopping on 2 wheelers and what not). Finally, they were caught and brought out to the main rd (one after another) by holding their hands and feet, where he was thrown at the wall after which he was not moving at all, while his driver was moving a bit so he was trampled on his face with feet by the mob. In the meantime, the 3 vehicles (2 old-gen thar and 1 fortuner) of his entourage were driven by the mob all the way to the nagamapal T-junction and set on fire. After sometime, 5-6 security vehicles came rushing towards the incident site, and then Valte and his driver were taken away to rims hosp and he was later airlifted to delhi. Unfortunately, his driver passed away a little latter.
