George Carlin was the American Diogenes He used humor to attack jingoism, hypocrisy, passivity, consumerism and so much more His monologues regularly played with the lyrical flow of language and demanded critical thinking as he forced Americans to confront the taboos and sacred cows of our culture He swore like a vagrant and appealed to our better nature with the zeal of a preacher And even as America finds itself mired in partisan divides, you will still find people on both sides of that political divide who quote Carlin

Lowering the passing requirements, very true we saw it in our 3 sons classes and in the schools one of our sons was passed on to the next grade although he couldn't read or spell and he wasn't the only one, partly catering to parents who would not take the time to work with their kids so they felt sorry for them because let's not leave them behind it's bad for their psyche, instead let's go ahead and let them keep up with their peers (what's worse staying behind and learning reading and spelling or moving up with your classmates and not being on par with them?) and they just didn't want to have to deal with that-kind of understandable because at that time they increased the students to a classroom from about 18 or so to 36! Crazy! Now this was NOT a big city nor a huge school we were a small farming community.

6:27 The Cirque du Soleil is a huge acrobatics show based out of Canada that does shows in 300 cities around the world. The joke here is that the only way they could penetrate is using acrobatics.

Please, let us also remember that this was a stand up comedy routine. George loved his life, loved his family, and loved his fans. He had his problems, he was not perfect, but believe it or not, he seems to have really loved us. He thought that we were fucked! Don't get me wrong lol But the average person on the street, for George, was someone to offer help to, or laugh and laugh at. I agree

The type of system that George Carlin was describing I guess is true to almost all developing countries. and almost all have the same kind of system. A Government, Religion, Education and a Bank. A society that can never find any better way than the kind of system we all are having. Can never think of a better way of Education for the next generation. And the sad thing is, no one dares to challenge it or even suggest a much better process. A kid could have mastered a skill of their choice and interest before they reach their 20s. While, Parents won't be paying tuition fees on a subject that the child won't be needing. School are made to produce worker and not Masters. Memorize than analyze If you're of a strong character, well-informed, well-educated, why would you need someone to lead you and govern over your life?

I know you're big fans of the US, so how do you feel about it now? To be honest it's getting like that here in the UK. We hardly get anything good coming over from the US, it's always the stupid shit like gangster rap, wearing trousers that hang off your arse showing your underwear and the fast food burger restaurants. When I was growing up in the 60s and 70s it was very rare to see anyone over weight. Now it's almost as bad as the US. As Al Murray once said "America is a good idea that's got out of hand". ✌️❤️🇬🇧
