The media companies will be back. They are looking for a story and the story of Russia slowly grinding forward isn't 'sellable'. Three weeks down the line by which time the Ukranian army could be in danger of being forced out of donbas amid heavy casualties on both sides, with Russia close to its immediate war aim is a story. Another story is five to six weeks down the line when Ukraine is using the bulk of its newly received weapons and retaking territory / resisting Russian attempts to take over donbas. Its a bit cynical but its hard to know whether the media wants to push these certain stories on us, or if its us that want these types of stories from the media.

@@kilo3-186 Don't even dare to call the thugs, mercenaries, and puppets hired by Russia our own citizens. And if you talk to real locals in Donets or Lugansk, not zombified and not paid for, you will suddenly discover the fact that Donetsk and Lugansk are intact. They were practically not shelled, while the propaganda machine created a picture of total hell in these regions. For the last couple of years, everything was absolutely calm, which, of course, did not suit Russia, which started a full-scale war. As for the neo-Nazis, you have a Kremlin mouthpiece sticking out of your mouth. There are neo-Nazis everywhere, and it is in Russia that there are more of them in numbers. Not to mention the fact that the whole country has become nazi in general. The same pictures and videos of several fanatics are shown on TV in Russia, spreading the false idea that there is a nazi problem in Ukraine. But you can google it and find even more of the same material in russia. The same goes for the U.S., the U.K., and almost any other country. Nazi views in Ukraine have always been and will continue to be persecuted by law. And don't poke your nose into another country under this far-fetched pretext. This is me writing to you, a resident of Ukraine, whose mother was born in russia and whose father is BLACK. In addition, I have communicated here all my life in russian. 6:50 that man has everything to complain of in life. A son who doesn’t speak, world wars, his people are dying, and he has no idea how it all started yet, he has no hate in his eyes, no anger, sadness yes but what an unbelievably humble man. Great interview. The fact he said it was scarier than WWII says a lot.

Well, don't want to ruin your nice comment but technically speaking he was 5-6 when war ended so he probably don't remember much about the war or his perception of it could be wrong. Maybe it does feel scarier maybe not, who knows but does it really matter? I mean, every war is scary, no matter if it's big or small.
@tjpowers882 жыл бұрын
@@ojgfhuebsrnvn2781 I think the modern munitions, the sheer scale of this war in terms of weaponry and firepower used. The destruction alone literally looks like an shelled out European town. Yes war is scary, but having shells fly indiscriminately into civilian populated areas…even he said, “at least we can hide in a cellar then, now you can’t.” Just the modern weaponry alone is much more devastating. There is no argument in that. Aside from Hiroshima and Stalingrad, I never seen such destruction in modern times. Much worse than Beirut. Also I do not assume to know what I would or wouldn’t remember during a wartime as I never had to grow up in a city that was at war. I’m sure it’s something unforgettable to say the least though, just my opinion.
