I have a Bajaboard S2 Atrax and NYX Z1 which I ride as my main off road boards. The S2 is definitely a smoother ride with the full suspension and feels more stable then the Z1 at high speeds unless I really tighten the bushings on the Z1 but then I sacrifice maneuvering and turn radius. I use Freebord S2 bindings on the Bajaboard and generic bindings on the Z1. I really like the Freebord bindings as ejecting in an emergency is much easier. I can understand the nightmare if I crashed the S2 and needed to fix it as changing simple things like motor boots wasn’t a piece of cake. The S2 cost me considerably more then the Z1 because of S/H and custom duty from Australia to SE Asia. Both boards are great and ride differently so I probably won’t be getting the Z3 suspension but do look forward to your comparison between the Z1 and Z3

Great review of the suspension trucks and excellent adjustment tips! I have about 300 miles so far on my z3 (non elite ;) I've experienced multiple ejections with bindings as this is my first board and I have been having a lot of fun. The last stoppage in sand was deceptive as the front binding actually gave me a friction burn to my ankle. Other times I have been able to eject the moment before impact or just made good use of protective gear. There have been a fair share of speed wobbles at times but mostly it was from the bushings coming loose or various aspects of the suspension loosening. After liberally applying torque sealant to the bushing adjustment screws and truck hardware it has been much more consistent and encouraging to explore more areas. The 7075 aluminum is still getting worn down by road debris and dirt, so it's good that the components are easily replaceable. I had a loose kingpin occur on the rear truck where the bushing with end screw and washer backed out, and I had traveled quite a ways before I really noticed. Luckily I found the hat bushing and replacement hardware was easy to acquire. The male screws into the female screws holding the components together can and have backed out on me, so I opted to re torque seal just about everything. A good bit of periodic maintenance to keep yourself safe goes a long ways.

imma make velcro bottomed shoes so you can have binding like attachment but if you stack the board will come off pretty easilty due it its mass if it sticks too much, take off a little velcro from your shoe until your grip is exactly tuned

Good point about shock absorption. We did try hydraulic adjustable shock absorption and nitrogen shock absorption.But they are all used for mountain bikes with one, and they are too hard for z3 with four.So that it can't be compressed at all. Maybe the future solution is to design and produce adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers with lower pounds by acedeck himself.

Would like to hear your thoughts on Propel's different shocks and bushing-methods compared to Z3's. Also for foot bindings, not a fan at all! I had a horrible accident that could have been avoided, but I wasn't able to get my feet free so it slammed me backwards and dragged me hard only going about 15-20mph. Maybe they can take ideas from some companies making "bindings" for OneWheel, etc., their are some great ones called "Flightfins", which are open to slip out of , but allow you to push up against them for grip/stability - I feel like this is mandatory because the risk is way too high being bound to your board.

Liked/sub'd in the first 30 seconds, good stuff!! I have the Nyx Z3 and love it, I did have a bit of a hard time changing my front bushing, it's a little tricky removing/installing the kingpin. I think Acedeck could change the design a little of the truck so you can utilize a jam nut on the bushing adjuster screws, I don't worry about them falling out but using threadlocker to hold them in isn't ideal imo, especially on an off-road board. Anxious to hear your thoughts on shock upgrades.

I definitely be interested in a comparison between the different NYX models, including the street. Z1 might be better for me if it really does have a much better turning radius. I'd like something I can use on tight narrow trails.

I had thr Z3 and it was great but the bolts came loose and if you tighten them they're very easy to round off. I'd suggest changing all the bolts to normal stainless steel bolts with thread lock. Also the looseness of the trucks makes me concerned how long it'll last and what happens when it wears and gets looser over time.

HEY Steven!!! I am really constidering this board. How is it on our Utah roads and such? Im a few pounds heavier than you, does it turn sharp enough for regular carving etc? I was just in the Spoke 2 days ago with my brother riding our eskates. lol
@evtechsteven
@evtechsteven 3 ай бұрын
Nice. Yeah. It’s a bit of an off road specialist. It’s not super responsive as compared to the Z1. But the trucks are amazing for vertical dampening for off roading. For tight turns you def need bindings. If you dont have bindings this board will feel sluggish when it comes to turning and carving. And nice Yeah the Spoke is one of my favorite spots now haha

I am currently debating between the z1 and the z3, do you have any suggestions? I will be using it for off-road trails and city living. Looking for a board that can do jumps on dirt and can jump on and off sidewalks. I am getting mixed info. Since you own both, which would you recommend?

I say the Z3 is 99% for the off roader that sacrifices maneuvering for vertical stability. If you don’t do much off roading, the N3 is what I would get

I have a question for the veterans here I want to make an upgrade, and any support and ideas are welcome. Curent setup is trampa big boi deck with some "l-faster" trucks and wheels in a 4×4 configuration , motors are 4 3kw 190kv and a 10s15p 46Ah battery and two dual 6.9 100A flipsky vesc. Very cheap and served me well for about 12k km until i changed them for a new pair of trucks and i am currently on my 16k (i know it sounds a lot but i had only trouble with the sistem and had to do maintenance at every 200km or so) so kinda want to change them again i use this board for public transport and i easily put around 40-60km daily on the board. The sidwalks are bad here in romania (potholes and high curbs ) so thats why i took the offroad board ideea i want to change the trucks to something more comfortable and reliable . Ive seen this acedeck trucks and they seem amazing are they really that goood? Is it worth the investment? Can any of you here point me to any other truck sistem? I need truck motor mount and wheels .im sorry for any grammar mistakes not my first language.
