Planting trees for reforestration has been done by Indonesian governement since my childhood. However, the rate of deforestation by greedy companies has been a lot greater that this good action. This one 100 Millions trees initiative I highly admire. Thank you.

i love forest to be honest, and living in high mountain above and inside the clouds is sometimes fun and scary, especially when there is thick fog and im in the forest, dont get tricked by a crystal clear river, its 10 feet deep

Some common sense approaches being used finally (income diversity that isn’t just we’ll pay you to just grow and not cut down trees and totally dependent on charity).

can you believe 100 million trees are not enough for one huge island... that is insane... as if to say double that is not enough for all of us to breath comfortably... think about that...
@andikardian9014 Жыл бұрын
yes it's far from enough. but hope so many young peoples are inspired and more of them doing the same thing and the target will not only 100m. i personally have a plan to plant damaged Forrest in my near house.

The only truly environmentally intact region of Borneo is Brunei, as can be seen from google earth. The rest was all decimated over the last 60 years.

Does DW still not realised that palm oil plantation means planting trees too?
@andikardian9014 Жыл бұрын
but palm trees aren't natural habitat for various types of animals. palm oil also does not store water and does not absorb water as well as banyan trees or other shady trees.

@enjoyurselfwhileucan49602 жыл бұрын
I knew it. When reading the title to this video I thought there must be a European country behind this reforestation because the indigenous people have no concern for the environment and would cut down every tree for a dollar or two. It should be noted from this story that that the people can only create a source of income by destroying not creating.
@keavzmoezx3442 жыл бұрын
Bulshitttt!! Indonesia president was inviting them.. because Indonesia's banned their palm oil to EU. Indonesia is huge starched from irland to Uzbekistan. Indonesia will become 5th largest economy in 2030 and already build their new capital city there in borneo. So, if germany wanted to do business in Indonesia they must have good relationship.
