It's amazing. This piece looks a totally effective bit of kit. Most folks never try, or they half-ass it. You turned out terrain to be proud of, in time to make 3 more in a work day! To borrow from Magneto, "You are a god among insects. Never let anyone tell you different."

ahh thank you, you are too kind. I think the problem here was personal distance, like I was unhappy when I finished but now on the table I think it looks alright! Feelings were the issue here. I almost rerecorded the end bit because I was overly salty lol

It not hideous, man...in fact you've definitely inspired me to try something similar. I watch a number of terrain crafting channels, but I'm trying to do something for my players without going nuts in terms of expenditure. The more construction and painting technique videos I watch before I get started, the better the end result. (Hopefully.) And you've certainly contributed to that! Thanks!

I think it turned out well in the end. The actual build is done really well, I think the paint might be the place it could use some work. But with that time constraint, this is a crazy good product. I love your direction of using such accessible materials, can’t wait for the next part of this series

Hehe no no I shared my dissapointment intentionally, maybe not to be laughed at but I don't mind that! It was a bit of an attempt to show the story of the build, in this case the story was me being slowet than I thought but ending up with a decent build I think. Industrial terrain really is about throwing stuff together, I must recommend Eric's hobby Workshop, the man is a legend!

The piece looks great for the time spent on it. It could really shine with just a little more details like rivets, rust, some dirt/rocks etc. Overall, a terrain feature to be proud of!

Not that bad. The main problem was rushing the paint job so you could easily fix that. You can get a touch more texture by cladding the foamcore edges with zip ties. Could be used to edge the walkways as well. In the US I've found that "Soffit Vents" are a good source of walkways.

Yeah, I am a bit crap showing stuff like that off on the channel as I like things to be replicatable, but if you check out someone like Eric's Hobby workshop, you can see how anything can become terrain (well maybe not anything but still).

Jay, it’s a great build! It’s NOT a fail - because you produced a great-looking model. And you learned a thing or two or three along the way (always a success, I reckon). It’s a ‘fail’ in terms only of time to build but I think that’s an artificial construct (no pun intended) to start with. To me, the end product is more important than any reasonable time it takes to build it. Conclusion: ditch the whole 1 hour concept. It’s a gimmick. You produce great work. Keep it up! I’ve learned a lot. Thank you!

Being happy with what you have, can be as simple as doing what you need done to fill a table or take longer and do more adjustments! A nice challenge for yourself. I think that if you throw some Orkish emblems on this, then you could "write off" the effects of the rush as being part of their design! Still, overall, I like what you pulled off from start to finish in 90 minutes.

I've added a link in the UK Amazon to the one I bought, as it doesn't have any slits. Try like Wire conduit tubing, most have a little slit in them to put other cables, but the one I got didn't.
