That tampax tweet is... Erm. I'm a 28y/o cis woman. As an adult, I find the humour of that tweet really amusing. It'd be hilarious as a joke between friends. Same but I'm 50. Uncomfortable humour like that between my friends and I is common. Beyond the fact that it’s tacky, My thing about the tampax thing is everyone who has a vagina is sexualized beyond belief… you can’t exist, work, create, speak without your body being considered. So to take a normal function such as having a period and make it about sex is harmful. There are people that still believe that wearing a tampon takes away your virginity or that it’s dirty like can we not further perpetuate that?
@transsnack6 ай бұрын
Also like... whether they meant to say it or not, they're saying that about kids too. Like, I started my period at 9. My sister at 12. Most people get their periods in their early teens. Shane Dawson should have never entered the beauty community period. That was ridiculous! Robert…I always appreciate your take on these topics because you are a true professional! You give credit where credit is due and you share your opinion when people are out of line!!! Love it!!

Hi Robert, I’m 29 and I was getting terrible eye creasing when setting my under eye so after seeing you say you don’t need to set a few times I tried it and it’s been a GAME CHANGER powder under my eyes really aged me so much and my make up sits so much better. I’m warm undertone but I use a cool undertone concealer as a colour corrector and I’m so happy! So thank you! ❤❤❤

Love this video…. I unfollowed a few the “gurus” they got so big headed and Hollywood.. they forgot where they started and how we got them to that verified check… I will never support JC OR JACLYN. Not just them but others too. I love your humble attitude and your education to us MUAs❤

its crazy because theyre mostly all adults who didnt have social media as kids, so there is no excuse for the bare-all behavior. And yet, these adults had the audacity to say whatever on the whole ass internet and its SO out of pocket

Honestly Robert, I live for you when you get into the nitty gritty of the drammmmaaa. I know you dont wanna be tagged in it as a "wreck these people please because we wanna see you throw all the shade" but when you give it to us freely. I liiive Robert. I live. Its like whispering to your friend behind the scenes but you just out hearing airing dirty laundry. I love it. 😂❤

James acts like he's the end-all-be-all of the beauty industry when really he's an admitted creep who built a lot of his career on makeup looks that were more photo manipulation than Maybelline. I probably have makeup I've had in my collection older than his career. Glad to see you're not one to ignore his past Robert!
@eva15859 ай бұрын
Didnt he get all pissy about not being interviewed in a documentary about the beauty industry?.. and the person they did feature was a legit influential person who'd been in the industry a while and had way more experience than him? (cant remember who it was)
@weirdhousewivesclub9 ай бұрын
@@eva1585 yeah it was an episode of a series they did and they had worked with Marlena Stella who had founded Makeup Geek and had been on here since the early days. The entire episode was on counterfeit makeup, not on the "KZbin makeup community" or any such nonsense, so Marlena was exactly the right person to use as an interview, since she was a brand founder and would have that kind of insider info, wtf would James have to contribute to that? But ofc he thinks he knows more than anyone else and immediately heard Netflix and makeup and felt like he was being excluded and got offended and started insulting her.
@eva15859 ай бұрын
@@weirdhousewivesclub Right! Marlena, thank you! I could not for the life of me remember the name or the brand, i just knew it was one of the big ones. Say what you want about Marlena or her brand (cant remember if there were any scandals involving her, just gonna assume people have opinions) but she really does seem like one of the best people to get that perspective from. Like you said, she's BEEN THERE. She's seen the highs and lows of the industry. I can imagine she's likely seen the effects of how counterfeiting can affect brands and had to deal with her products being counterfeited countless times. James, and most of the influencers that came up through youtube and instagram, dont have that experience or insight. Heck, most of them arent even MUAs! So the thought of asking them is just absurd. Maybe if there was a small part on the responsibilities you have, as an influencer, to not promote counterfeits to your audience or if counterfeit makeup is a big thing among beauty influencers. However, that would require them to actually give a shit about said responsibilities or their audience in general which i can give a whole list of names, James' included, that seem incapable of doing so.

I’m a woman, and I use tampons. I’ve never understood the constant need to sexualize them, because trust, it’s not a sexual item. It sometimes more painful and uncomfortable, and that’s if I’m feeling anything at all. They are a hygiene product, and that’s all.

I stopped watching and unsubscribed to all my beauty channels bar you and James. The drama was unbelievably childish, mean and unnecessary. I buy makeup that I want to buy. I don't give a toss what anyone says. Do your own thing people and have fun!!! Loved this video Robert. Cheers lovely.🖤
