No criticism intended but on a couple of those shoots there were cattle in the background that could have picked up rounds. Buying a couple of cattle will ruin a night's fun.

Please excuse my ignorance: which caliber(s) is (are) used to fight these hogs? My background is only military. My weapon was an old M-1 Garand, which I loved so much, as a gift from americans after WWII to italian Army.

My Garand was precise, rugged, and heavy, and he was powerful, with his 7.62 NATO shot (a full metal jacket).

Pigs can be pretty tough sometimes
@lobster80092 жыл бұрын
These guys need better aim if anything. Of course a pig will limp away if you shot it in the guts or the ham. I know these pigs are pests and need culling but what they do in this video is just barbaric. If this video was filmed in Germany they would all be in prison right now and rightfully so. Thats just raw animal cruelty, pest or not these animals deserve a fast and painless death thru a precise shot to the chest or nervous system.

@@lobster8009 Hmmm.... Ever tried hitting a running target? It ain't as easy as it looks. You can hit an animal in the heart and it will often run 40-50 yds before collapsing. Your best shotis the Central Nervous System (CSN), i. e. Brain or cervical vertebrae. It's a small target area, but does result in instant death. Alot of the thrashing you see (STANKY Legs) is often dying reflexive actions. Kinda reminds me of how many anti gun activists rail at the police that they should shoot the gun out of the assailant's hand.

There was some garbage shooting in there. 5, 6, 7, 8 or even 9 rds before a running pig did the dusty dirt nap. You have to have an idea of the lead required for a full deflection shot at given ranges and make a reasonably good assumption of the speed of the hog.
