Please try to zoom in while editing the video so that we can see what are you doing, i tried to view on 17 inch wide laptop on 1080p but still it was hard to see the details, which makes it incredibly hard to learn more. If you say i will drop an application called zoom it. Thanks for the tutorial

I know it's been a year, but in case anyone else is also trapped in this: I made the first and last keyframes match, applied the loopOut() expression and it worked perfect. Hope that helps, it was driving me mad everytime I wanted to make some loop animation

You gotta make the first and last key frame match in order for it to loop seamless. Which can be challenging depending on what kind of effect you got going on. I suggest taking a screen shot of the first frame and matching it to the last frame.

Some how the shape 1 always mess up. Like it not rotate around the polygon as expected but stray further away. Also which tweak that you made to rotate that shape 1 around? when it also rotate around the polygon?

The important part of looping is that your beginning frame(frame 0) is basically the same as your last frame +1 frame, you dont want your first frame to be te same as your last cause otherwise you will have duplicate frames . Let's say you have a clip of 240 frames. set your rotation in frame 0 to 0 degrees, and the rotation in frame 241 to 360 degrees. Best to have the extrapolation of any keyframes that happen in the beginning and end to be linear so there wont be any stutter in the loop. This count for everything, not just rotation ofcourse. You can also make all the figures appear in the end and diseappear in the end with trimpaths.

couple things, Couldn't get the line to stick to one side of the polygon without drifting away with the rotation. And glow isn't doing anything. usually glow works. but now nothing is happening

on the glow issue, try changing your color. i was using a darker purple and it wasn't showing up on the darker background. Make sure you are making the edits in an adjustment layer. Hope this helps

Great tutorial dude! But I have encountered a problems 1. with spinnig shape 1. It spins around its Anchor Point insted of spinning arounf it own axis so it not looks like in your video. What can be the reason? 2. with trim path. It draws simultaneously insted like it is in your video - one by one. Your reply will be very much appreciated cause the whole effects looks amazing :)

@@annabigo5608 yes you see the effect is put on to the Shape Layer. The shape layer can have many shapes within it and the effect will apply to every shape in that shape layer. But if you make a new shape outside of that layer it will not have the effect so you need to either ctrl C on the effect and ctrl V to paste onto the new shape or else drag the new shape into the first shape layer that already has the effect on it. 🤔

Same thing happened to me, what happens is you probably have the repeater inside the polystar, just drag it out into the shape layer and it should work.
