How do I know if I have air in my system there was no coolant In my overflow tank or radiator so I just filled it up ?

It did initially, but I just wanted to replace it with a fresh basket to seat it properly.

It's like reusing an oil drain plug crush washer. It works, but not exactly best practice

@@EdBwoy appreciated! I found the reservoir empty but I never saw any heating temps, hoping all is good. The filler cap wasn’t at top either. But saw some coolant at the bottom of elbow into motor

@@oscarguerra4965 the system still has a lot of coolant, not to worry. What I would do for something like that, is just add some coolant to the full line of the reservoir. The engine should suck it into the filler neck over a few engine cycles. If you find that the coolant still keeps disappearing from the system, then you can investigate further. Good job on looking in your engine bay once in a while!

@@EdBwoy I had a question i had to replace my radiator support and I’m not sure where the coolant reservoir top hose right next to the cap on the reservoir goes to. Would happen to know where that hose plugs in to? It’s a 2011 m37s. Any info helps I couldn’t find a diagram on google so i came to yt 😂

Why you didn’t run the engine to circulate the coolant and to release air? Also hiow did you open the heater core without ac on? This doesn’t look right

So coolant came out the back hosing first what does that mean

Which back hosing specifically? The Tee fitting with a bleeder? But if your car is at a steep incline, then the back of the engine will be lower than the front and coolant will come out of there first

In principle yes, it is the same, although some hoses might be in different locations
