Not bad for those who want a mild safe tune for their lease or short purchase. I personally went with Ecutek through my Tuner and made 420whp on 91 octane now that I have full bolt ons man this car is close to 500whp. E85 tunes ofncourse with Fuel pump upgrades gets you past 500whp. So for those that want something straight forward and safe get this or a JB tune.

@racechip just got mine in the mail Friday, and installed today. When you did the dyno, what map setting were you on? I’m currently using Race setting 4, and switching to 5. I like how you can use manual mode to adjust the different settings between mode. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

We were using map 7, the most aggressive map, to dyno the vehicle. You can go ahead an use manual mode to turn the unit to map 7 (or fine tune using the app if purchased). If you need any more information please contact [e-mail] and they would be happy to help

@racechipinstallation I have a 2016 q50 3.0t it has a few mods full CBE, AMS lower downpipes, and drop in air filters. Do you think I should go with the Racechip or just get a tune? I’m going back and forth and I’d like to get and honest opinion. Thanks

Hey Sean, it ultimately depends on your goals. The RaceChip will be a quick and safe way to tune the car. It will prevent too lean, too rich and overboosting as the ECU remains in control with the engine protection programs in place. A custom ECU flash will take a little more time and a little more power as it will be for your exact car, but make sure you go with a well known reliable tuner that knows the VR30 well. A bad ECU flash can blow the motor up.

How does this product compare to a JB4? Is it able to connect to a phone and change maps or settings?

Yes it will. You will pick the 300 HP option. If you have the red sport (S is red on the car), go for the 400 HP option on the website.

The gains in power and torque in this video were with just the RaceChip installed. You can get up to 49 more WHP and up to 55 more LB-FT with the chip installed.
