Hello, I have an 2011 Infiniti QX56 and the high pressure pump doesn't have power/ electricity , and I want to know if you knew which relay is the one that gives power to the pump; thank you

The Chilton manual says, "The high pressure fuel pump is activated by the camshaft. The ECM controls the high-pressure fuel pump control solenoid valve built into the high pressure fuel pump and adjusts the amount of discharge by changing the suction timing of the low pressure fuel." The diagrams show just two wires going to a single connector for the high pressure fuel pump. Both wires come from the ECM. The wire color L/W (blue/white) is DRIVE SIG, and The wire color L/B (blue/black) is GND. L/W goes to ECM connector F110 pin 105(HI), L/B goes to ECM connector F110 pin 110(LO). There are no relays for the high-pressure fuel pump.

Hi! I have a 2014 Infiniti QX80 AWD, where is the starter relay located? Is there more than one? Thanks!

The starter relay and the starter control relay are both located inside IPDM module. There are two relays per the diagrams. The point of this video is to test these relays in the IPDM.

@@jackharding98 thank you! I purchased the starter relay and wanted to replace, but not sure which is the correct one to replace. AutoZone confirmed the part is correct for Starter Relay. What is the difference between starter relay and starter control relay? I have been having intermittent no-start issue for 6 months now. Already troubleshot everything but starter relay and starter assembly. I figured easy/cheap to replace relay and then if still having issues, likely the starter itself...but I didn't know I had 2 starter relays.

Since your replacement, are you still experiencing issues with intermittent issues with QX80 cranking?
@jackharding985 ай бұрын
No, since I installed a new starter it's working perfectly all the time.

@@jackharding98 I think I have a starter issue also. Thank you.

I have a 2015 QX80 that will not start now. Parked it for the night and went out the next morning and it would not start. NO lights, nothing as if the mart key was not with me. Replaced battery in both fobs, tried to jump start it but it still does nothing. Had battery tested and it was good. ANy ideas?

That's a tricky situation. So your vehicle battery is good, and both fobs have new batteries, but the vehicle doesn't respond at all, as if no fob is in the car. Try using the fob to unlock the doors. (Do not try locking first, just in case something is weird, you lock yourself out) but pressing the unlock button should cause a response, that way you know at least the vehicle can "hear" the fob. After that, I'd probably try to test that the proximity sensor in the car is talking to the vehicle. I'm not sure how to do that. You'll probably need a scan tool capable of communicating with the module. Sorry I don't know of any easy quick fix for you.

@@jackharding98 No response when using the key fob. Will not unlock or lock. When attempting to jump I do see the 'lock' light on the push button start blink and the red immobilizer light on the dash blinks. But these eventually stop or are intermitten.

@jreeves45 I researched your situation after my reply earlier. The remote lock/unlock system, Power Distribution System and Immobilizer System all work together. Your security system light on the dash should blink when the vehicle is off, even if the car is not locked. Be sure you have a good full battery in the vehicle. Low batteries can cause weird problems. The interior lights should come on when you open the door. If they aren't, you may have a bad battery or Power Distribution System problem.

Thank you. I'm going out to troubleshoot now.

Where's the best place to connect neg cable when jumping? I couldn't really tell by the small pic in owners manual.
