Great job dude! I would recommend using anti-seize around the bearing and inside the knuckle were it sits. That way if you ever have to replace the the bearing again it will come off real quick. Also on the spindle on the axle sometimes it gets really stuck to the bearing.

I have a 2004, AWD, the front driver wheel has made a funny noise since I bought it new. I have around 170K on it now, still makes the same noise, hasn't gotten any worse or better. I had an old 1995 Ford T-Bird and didn't have to replace any wheel bearings until I got around 250K miles, (it had 340K on it when I gave it away to my sister because she needed a car). I was under the impression Infiniti was a premium built car that should last longer, how many miles does the manufacturer recommend changing them out?
@AngelRecendez234 жыл бұрын
I have this loud noise coming from my front right tire. Same car and all. It gets louder the faster I driver. The mechanics told me its a bad wheel hub bearing. I feel like I can do this myself. I do most stuff on my car anyways. Im worried I wont put everything on right. Do I need any special tools to put the brake pads back on. Or is that only when I change my brakes.

2007 Infiniti FX35 AWD My brakes are weak/spongy This happened after I changed the FRONT wheel bearings. The brake lines show no signs of leakage. The system has completely flushed (bled) through all the brake lines until the new brake fluid was coming out the bleeders. (No old brake fluid in the system whatsoever) We bled the system for abt 6 hours thinking it was the issue. Brake fluid is cleaner than new Nikes. The Master Cylinder has been replaced New rotors have been put on all around New brake pads have been put on all around. No Brake light No Abs light No Check Engine Light Any ideas?
@packwoodperformance4x4742 жыл бұрын
The brake pads get pushed by a cylinder. It has a boot around it. If that boot has failed that could be it. But you would probably see fluid. But it could be clogged too.

Kinda hard to tell. If you jack the front up, take the tires off, then spin the hub by hand (AWD in Neutral) the bad one did not spin freely. Kinda gritty and made a scratching noise. Should change both if possible. If you change one. The other will go out soon.

I had this problem too, turned out to be a missing upper strut assembly bolt. It came undone and lost causing the tire to have slop in it, and when turning in either direction the missing bolt allowed the tire to rub on the inner top side of the strut housing...so look for missing bolts.
