Do you want to start your own passion project / become an entrepreneur?
@johanneswicklein49754 жыл бұрын
It doesnt make any sense for me to work as a slave for money. I dont want to avoid struggle and tears, I want to fulfill my purpose. And I dont think I can do that in a regular company😔. And starting an own company in my industry is practically impossible. I just hope that I become so valuable for my employer that I can fulfill my life regardless. We will see.

Yes! Have been one and like you said it's slow and the mindset is so important. Currently in a place where I need to re-evaluate my priorities, my mindset, including leaving the self-employed world and becoming a cog again but hopefully in a nicer wheel LOL

I have just started as an INFJ entrepreneur. I agree 100% with what you are saying and I relate on a very deep level. Starting in this world feels like liberation, but not because of money/validation, but because of the fact that I can express my authenticity and help other people grow. 😍

One thing that I noticed in my own journey is that when I take a new direction, I try to figure everything before making the first steps. I am always asking myself if this is going to work before doing the work. But it gets me stuck in self-doubt more than anything else. I learned that I have to make the first steps of concrete actions and just trust the process over a longer period of time. In other words, stop overthinking everything and take action even if it is might risky.

This is so true. After 4 years of working for other I finally decide to walk on my own path. The reason behind is not money-driven or fame-driven. The final ephipany that came to me is: MY DREAM JOB IS YET TO BE BORN. I NEED TO CREATE IT MYSELF.😂

You should definitely have a podcast or a show here in YT that would interview people who could provide more insights about the MBTI world, may they be INFJs or not. Let's hear their minds speak, from ordinary people (from all walks of the MBTI life), to psychologists, psychiatrists, celebs (If there are willing), life coaches, leaders & thought leaders in this field, etc. I believe this channel has a lot of potential if it does this advice. Advice coming from a pure INFJ :) Cheers

This video reminded me that the path I'm walking right now is the right one. I most appreciated it when you said that even though you felt anxious and nervous , you "did it anyway." It's like my resolve that when I feel fearful, I "don't let it stop me." Of course, I have to remind myself of it daily - and on some days several times! 🙂

This is exactly where I am right now. I am working a corporate job that is definitely not for me. I strongly desire to live a life of freedom where I am able to do things I love instead of working the grueling shifts that I do now for my corporate job. I have a business that I worked on and put on the back burner because it felt like too much. It was too much because it was not really allowing me to do what I was truly passionate about. More recently I have started to come around to what will actually fulfill me and I am more motivated than ever to make it happen. I have never been the type of person that fits into a mold and I don't want to live the cookie-cutter lifestyle. I need to have this outlet that allows me to serve others doing something I truly love. It is the only way I will be completely satisfied in my life. I am so glad I stumbled on this video today. I really needed to hear this.

You are speaking out of my soul! That's exactly the point: I don't want to do something only for earning money, compromising myself to get some income. I want to be free, do the things in my way and don't worry if someone likes it or not. But to do that one needs first financial security. I am trying to keep the financial aspect and the vocation aspect apart. Thanks for the video!

Thanks so much! I had/hv a side hustle and it was hard as long as i focused on followers, likes etc. Yet ppl in and ard my community were copying my work and idea. It was tough. I let it go for awhile to revamp. I was spending more and making less. I plan to take it online at some point. This has given me some perspective on doing this as an INFJ. You realize something abt you is different from the others and it can make you feel like you are not cut out for this.

So, hmm. Yeah, the life of an entrepreneur is appealing. There is a lot of upside, #1 being the freedom. We also need to manage the downside, which is that there are a lot of peaks and valleys with this lifestyle, especially the income. So, learn the habit of saving. Also, you will be disconnected from the built in social life that comes with having a job. This can be difficult for many INFJs because we do have a need for afiliation.
@Wenzes4 жыл бұрын
True...for me personally I have felt that if you combine vocation with your entrepreneurship (how I have done)...you feel more connected that ever with social life because the people you connect with share your passions more than a regular job could bring that doesn't include that

I just graduated from university. I've always been competitive in academics since I was young. About a year ago, I started searching more about what I want to live for, and I found this world of human psychology/personality. When I look back to my outmost motivation of doing well throughout my school life, just like you said, it's all because I believe what I'm learning will be of great benefit to myself and others around me. I guess that's how I fell in love with studying.

I worked since 2013 and this is the last year for the 10th anniversary when my output for a journey is 90% which is 9 years and I’m not giving up the 10th for two different experiences purposes or divine intervention. Other than that I will work on a higher different level in the next 10 years on an intermittent, slow paced, easygoing, pareto or just-in-time schedules with B,C, and D outputs just for the sake of it after that I WILL NOT WORK FOR ANYONE NOT EVEN MYSELF unless I get a fresh FAIR start and my previous compensation it its various forms. I am not responsible after that to anyone or entity.

For me business and personal are the same cuz it’s more a hobby to me and I enjoy getting to try our solutions and ideas then seeing how they play out and improving on them . I’m in retail which think would kill your soul as an infj since capitalism is so monopolizing on greed but when you come at it from an aspect of consulting and focus on teaching others better ways to do things or better ways for selling the vast amount of different items that come up , or giving people 2nd chances in finding employment to improve their lives like someone just out of jail who can’t get hired , you can see how an infj can enjoy being in retail of control their environment anyway. However If you aren’t in that top type role tho where you have control or the ear of those in charge so you have the wiggle room to try and do what you want mostly, you won’t be happy tho . And f your in an advising type role in the business working with execs , our silence in observing in meetings and reviewing of data before we come to any conclusion plays in our benefit as we aren’t complainers and if we speek up or suggest something , the high ups listen as we don’t speak unless its necessary. I even had an issue once with a director in the company I work with who offended me and gave no reason why she had issues , the vp forced her on a call to apologize to me like a parent telling older sibling to give back their toy lol cuz i never complain about criticism and strive to improve so if I actually complain it’s treated with priority and that’s a great feeling to know your silence will be treated as your benefit in getting things done .

If i can ask, how much money do you think an entrepreneur needs to make to live comfortably? I’ve never had the conversation with my parents on a deep level. But I appreciate buying quality things and being able to take vacations, not necessarily lavish. I was always good at English and Social Sciences in high school and i’m taking some time to figure out what I want in college. Hoping you can help thanks 😊

It totally depends where you live and how you want to live. I honestly don't think there is a number. Some people live like queen and kings with $2000 in Bali others are struggling with $10.000 living in New York. I would start with what you need to sustain your current lifestyle and from then on it keeps on growing. As an Entrepreneur businesses are rarely stagnant...if they are successful they keep going...but it's WAY more important to be profitable than to grow. Prioritize that.

You say not to do this to feel good at some point but you say feel good doing it at the same time? I'm confused, am I not supposed to expect to feel good if I make something work?
@Wenzes4 жыл бұрын
My point was: don't do something because the result one day will make you feel good. Do something because you love doing it...right now...even if it hasn't brought any "external" results....because if you are always looking for the result (and it will take some time before it shows up) you will stop. But if you do something because you love doing it...you will continue anyways...and then the results can come as a byproduct

Poverty is a fucking adventure. I'm not ready to give up the glory of being marginalized. But when I'm ready, there's an income stream waiting. My war stories alone are seductive.
