My friend and coworker recently said "I try not to live my life by my feelings". I was honestly a little put off by it. INFJs are naturally balanced between feelings and facts. I think tapping into feelings is super important, especially working in children's ministry. I've always tapped into my feelings but not let them control me or be overcome by facts

PS: I Am also PAINFULLY Honest… and it catches people by surprise because most people’s initial reaction can feel offended, but it comes from a Heart of purity.. because if I Am not honest with You, You won’t know what’s wrong .. and I’m not deferential to people’s emotions or feelings about that Truth.. My goal is to express and teach Truth.. period! No matter anything else

I'm an INFJ, and I found this to be super encouraging. I never really felt like I was leadership material. Never felt like I was adequate enough... I 'spose it's that pesky imposter syndrome. Anyway, this video showed me that the characteristics I already have can help me do what I was meant to do in this life. I had been trying to find my way back into life after dealing with burnout as a student. I felt like a failure. I felt like a loser. Being a perfectionist with unrealistic expectations for myself, I often have to remind myself that I am good enough. I am adequate. I am not an imposter of my own accomplishments. I often have to remind myself that I don't have to over-work myself to be valuable. It's okay, and even necessary to take breaks. Taking breaks is NOT lazy, but necessary to replenish my mind. It's okay that I'm not super human. It's okay that I'm not a robot. Thank you for making this video. I've been struggling to save myself from drowning under the ocean of burnout. And this video served as my reminder that I don't have to drown in my own burn out, that there is a way out of this mess. Thank you. You have no idea what this means to me. For the first time in a long time, I see a glimmer of hope. Thank you.

I have been in a position of management too many times to count over the past 10 years, and I would say that all of these points are spot on. As others have suggested a difference between blue collar and white collar INFJ leadership, I believe its safe to say that if you realize you're an INFJ and you're in a blue collar leadership role do yourself a favor and get out. As upsetting as it can be to feel like you are abandoning a team with whom you've learned to respect and even love to an extent; they will often celebrate your leave with happiness for you. I have found most times that the most likely issue you will run into can be surmised as "disagreement with the fundamental principles and ideologies of higher management." In my case specifically they legitimately wanted me to sit back and manage my team. I simply will never act that way, and did just as much work or more than the rest of my coworkers to develop a "lead by example" mentality whilst promoting positivity, self growth, and team building. TLDR: It is true that all of the qualities mentioned in this video would be great in a management position; however, If I were to go back into management I would demand what upper management would consider complete freedom to manage as I see fit. If you are an INFJ and you're thinking about leadership roles, I strongly suggest you ask your interviewer about this exact point, and request for this freedom as you will be at your absolute best when in that role. If you aren't hired because of that question, then that business doesn't deserve you.
@commentblues1511 Жыл бұрын
Your comment is spot on. As a lead myself, I also can't just sit back and manage my team that way. I tend to lead them by showing how to do it. That's just an INFJ way. I truly believe my boss realized this about me so she gave me a freedom whatever I want to lead my team. She's definitely the best!

Now I Am INFJ.. and relate to all of these traits.. I Am also HSP Heyoka .. which means that tho My Nature expresses sincere humility… I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT tolerate destructive behaviors and I WILL confront You.. NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE.. lay person, regular citizen, the Pope, the President, or a UN Ambassador… and I become a whole Volcanic Force against injustice, cruelty, disrespect, violations of boundaries, abuse of any kind, and chaotic disruption… And I can be RUTHLESSLY RELENTLESS in confronting “bad behavior” .. tho admittedly, depending on the circumstance, I aim for a softer approach first, then, if all other recourse fails…. I AM A VERITABLE BEASTLY DRAGON 🐉… 😉 … I’ve got that INFJ rage thing DOWN PACKED!!! 😤 In fact, My biggest lesson has been learning how to be constructive with My internal force of power, so I don’t annihilate everything in opposition to the mission.. but exercise careful consideration for the way each detail has the potential to fit into the whole picture.. if it can serve a greater purpose, it can make it .. the bottom line is that I Am FIERCELY PROTECTIVE of People’s Heartspace, Justice, the vulnerable… and I will defend the marginalized and downtrodden with EVERY OUNCE of My Being.. which includes the primary Source of this world’s Life, Our Earth Mother Herself.. I Am a formidable advocate on what is Correct and maintaining a healthy sense of balance in relationship to ALL Life… and Our Earth Environment gets My TOP priority … whenever something is out of place.. I WILL NOT STOP until I figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it!!! And act accordingly, and I inspire Others to do the same

I led a project once. Didn't like it much... I'd much rather just be one of the team. But yes, I was very efficient and we got everything done within a couple of days. I did do a lot of the work (but not all of it) myself, as I didn't like to delegate without volunteers. And I also felt I could do a better job myself! 😄 And everything was done to a perfectionist's standard... 😂 I also found that I didn't mind doing the leading as long as people appreciated what I did.

I'm an INFJ here. I work in a busy hospital lab setting and it suits me pretty well. I get to be independent while knowing that my work matters. As the position itself gets stressful, I was overwhelmed when thinking of the leadership positions and realizing that I would probably take all of these presented factors in as well. Kudos and Cheers to the boss INFJ leaders out there!!

@Jen-ko9rj3 жыл бұрын
That's the beautiful thing about INFJs though... we don't need to "control"... because we approach leafership roles with humility and respect, the people we lead, want to naturally do their best for us. I see this everytime I'm taking over for my manager when he's on PTO (will eventually be taking over for him). My team approaches me proactively to ask how they can help, because I make them feel appreciated, I make them feel heard and I encourage them in a way that no one else does in our current work place setting. We get the best out of people. We're also great at spotting what people are naturally good at and can put them in positions where they'll shine.

This is skewed toward the white collar class. When an INFJ is in the blue collar class, things are quite different. The animals that I have to work with are intolerable and many of them exhibit traits of various social or emotional disorders. Others are simply fools who will not listen to reason, logic, or wisdom. I suppose that I'll have to find a trade in which I can work alone.
@PSYCH-O3 жыл бұрын

Your insights into the MBTI types is the best, but your use of stock footage and the same song playing on repeat for every video gets to be very tiresome. If it were possible, I’d mute the song and the footage.
