Clorox Bleach Although I am quite independent and self-reliant, I don’t think individuals are more important than society, if that’s what you mean. Individualism is a puzzling philosophy to me since one can’t exist without the other, so I’d argue they’re one in the same. I guess being an INFP I’m always looking at both the details and the big picture and thus feel they’re equally as important. Thanks for asking & making me look it up!

INFP's process information and think while they are looking around because it's looking around that helps them process all of the various thoughts that are coming from various directions in their mind. The mind is made out of many parts, and looking left to right will result in garnering a different answer than looking right to left. Looking around and up at the ceiling will result in a different set of thoughts than looking down at the floor, looking out of a window will result in another different set of thoughts, it's the looking around that stimulates all of the different sets of thoughts. If I were to just stare only straight ahead, I would become stuck on one set of thoughts/only 1 perspective and it would be boring to me to be stuck on those thoughts only. I am trying to find and create and gather a variety of thoughts from different directions in my head, and this gathering process does require that I look around in all different directions. Thus, if I was to only look straight ahead at the person in front of me, I wold not be able to give them a full answer that has been well thought out and well considered, it would instead be a flat, non-thought out answer, right off the top of my head without any considerations; it would need to only be a practical question that has an answer that requires no thinking. So do not take it 'personally' if you ask an INFP a question and they look in different directions; in fact, they are VERY involved in answering your question because they care a lot; if they DID NOT care, then they wouldn't be looking around; it's looking around that enables them to give you the best answer.

This video has finally solved the riddle for me! A lot of generalizations are made about both types, but his way of explaining the idealism from each perspective has solved the riddle of whether I am an INFJ or an INFP. I can very directly relate to the 49% 51% flip-flop between J and P on every test I've taken, and there have been many. I am a heart on my sleeve, open book, who loves analyzing other people and inferring things about their lives based on their behaviors. I really love reading people and counseling them on how to seek greater joy and fulfillment in their own personal lives. I also loathe talking on the phone, tend to be more reclusive, get anxious when people speak to me, and generally wish I was invisible most of the time. I'm a huge list maker and want everything to be perfect and planned, but ultimately I never find the time to actually get it all organized and put into practice. I am also a confident and gifted vocalist and love stage performing. I however do not usually know what to do with my body when I'm on stage and tend to have a more reserved demeanor by nature. I give wholeheartedly without expecting anything back, and am not big on social media or fancy things. I'm scatterbrained and forgetful, a little eccentric and pretty much all over the place in my interests. Confidently Complex. But at least I know which INF type I am with pretty solid certainty! Thanks!!

Check out he cognitive functions because INFP and INFJ share none. INFPs have a much better sense of self thanks to Fi whereas INFJs take on other peoples moods thanks to Fe. If you like the journey more than the destination you are an INFP. If you have any idea of where you are going you are an INFJ. Ne parent makes INFPs extremely poor at making decisions because there are just so many options and each is new and shiny. Don't think about being close on P and J, these types are so different I can't understand why people get confused.

I truly enjoyed and learned a lot from this discussion and demonstration of body language in INSP people. So much of communication is nonverbal but there is so little time and effort spent on teaching this aspect that it gets lost in the avalanche of behavioral data contained in the simplest and shortest interaction between people. When we learn to integrate verbal and nonverbal data we get more and more complete messages from each other and our overall understanding of each other is enhanced. Thank you for modeling these techniques and communication patterns.

It's amazing how well body language correlates. I've gotten good at seeing Ne eyes, and it's hilarious because you then watch the gesticulations, bouncy vocal tone, and what you know about the person anyway was leaning in the NP direction. My parents always criticize and praise certain traits that made my think I was an ISTJ, so when I get excited and imaginitive I wasn't sure how much I was just adapting for a lack of extroversion. I'm at a point now that my parents see me through what's familiar with them--their practical personalities and upbringing, and my reserved childhood--and that if I feel excitable and emotive, then my opinion of myself is more accurate. I eventually, for curiosity, filmed myself and noticed really obvious Ne eyes. For some reason that confirmation carries so much sentiment for me (I had been back and forth on whether I was a TJ with developed Fi or an FP with developed Te because of how I was raised)

My youtube transcriptor writes this: "ION OF PEACE" when you say "INFPs". The reason our eyes tend to remain unfocused is because to pass from FI of feelings along the bridge and out towards NE requires a good dose of hope and bravery, bravado and creativity, and the lack of the ability to see (uncertainty) what are the possibilities that lie ahead.

I've been up for 51 hours because it's hot as hell! It's about 60 degrees, and my sister made me take out the AC. It sucks because the AC served a disk purpose, it kept me cool, and it blocked out all the noise from the outside. I can't stand anything over 45 degrees. I have to go to the Astral realm and have a chat with mother nature, and tell her to get back on schedule!

I get it, not every youtuber is for everyone. Personally, I only listen to youtubers on the tram, metro, before I fall asleep, on the day I am too much on the go to have time. Its just about finding those times where you have no distractions.

@@ErikThor I should download and listen at work ....sorry I feel mean hope I didn't offend. I really want to see all the infp information that's where I found your videos I will have to do as you are saying and find a time I can actually watch

Andrea, I’m an ENFP and I have ADD so I speed slower videos up 1.5 or double speed. I do love listening to Erik in real time, he’s kinda mesmerizing. Other youtubers are slow and annoying and I have to speed them up in order to get through the video.

Are enfp and infp similar in body language?

He says perceiving types move their hands from center out. So maybe that's the same? edit: nope, his ENFP video says they move their hands from in front toward themselves, but like INFP, palms face in. The ENFP video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iouvc2qnYtR1f9U My general perception of ENFP is they change subjects very quickly. Similarity to INFP is they both are considering a wide range of information. Different methods though: ENFP look at things close up, find information that converges. INFP look at things from a distance, try to detect systems.
