Ink Comparison Memento, StazOn, and Archival

If you look on the backside of det Ranger Archival ink pad it saids that it is a waterproof DYE base ink (like memento) . Not a pigment ink (like brilliance) or a solvent ink (like staze on) .

Having taken Tim Holtz's Chemistry 101and just finishing 102, I have to take exception with you calling Ranger's Archival ink a pigment ink. It is a solvent based ink per Tim and Ranger (see their website). You are correct that it should not be used with alcohol markers, but it goes back to what you said in the beginning about like removing like. Otherwise this was a really great tutorial, especially for new users.

Oh thanks!! I did not take the TH Chemistry so I appreciate the addendum. It stays wet so much longer than the Stazon and the color is much more rich....much like a pigment ink.

Like many other viewers, I can't find the printable sheet on your web site. I enjoyed your video very much...great information. And your web site is interesting. I mean this in the kindest way, but the pale pink text is really difficult to read. My vision is pretty good, but I found it challenging to read. Honestly, the kindest way.

Well I came here to see the difference between Archival and Stayzon, but your info on the archival is all wrong. It is not a pigment ink!
