While there's not nearly enough colour in this deck for me to spring for it, I GENUINELY enjoyed taking this tour through the cards. I think the insect in the 4 of swords is a cicada, in which case it is not dead. They spend 17 years underground before coming up, mating and dying

The high priestess as the bishop, the most powerful chess piece to aid the queen in protecting the king. Love the fascination with cats and cars - what’s a consonant between friends? I do feel the masculine vibes, you’re so right. Love this deck

The Knight of pentacles is the Maneki cat. In Japanese & some Asian culture, shop owners put it at the entrance of shops as it’s believed to be able to call in customers and bring fortune to the shop owner

This is the deck that allowed me to really understand tarot. It’s my “traditional” RWS deck and really my foundational tarot deck. This deck is such a great workhorse deck with great cardstock (imo). The only thing against this deck is that some images are blurry.

I kept thinking of the Ophidia Rose tarot with this deck. I was surprised at how well the Sasuraibito went with it- I thought it might wash out the Ink Witch but it looked compelling! Oh also the Hedge Witch botanical.!! Thanks for sharing.

I didn't get what this high priestess was about at first, but now l look at it as the intuitive side of playing chess: your intuition can give you an answer you know is right before your logical thinking can explain why.

I now remember why I didn't pull the trigger on this deck. There are few minimalistic and impersonal cards that didn't speak to me. I am the opposite, I LOVE the tower .. it is a powerful shift .. and I know this tower is the darkest tower you could think of .. but I like it for that. it is so unusual .. and it is needed in someway .. because most decks show the tower in a controlled falling building .. where I can't sense the danger or the mess that can associate with the tower .. then there is cards like the high priestess and the empress and empror and I am so disappointed because of how minimal they are .. they don't tell me much .. I am so glad I get to see and explore this deck through your videos :) .. it is gorgeous and I am enjoying your experience with it.

The Tower as mushroom cloud really works for me in the Boomer generation who grew up with air raid drills, and expecting the bomb every day. When you said it wasn't traditional because there was no structure remaining, that's exactly the feel of growing up in the 50's and 60's...no structure, nothing left. For the first time a destruction so thorough that it was the end of everything.

I got mine already! Actually was in my mailbox a couple days & I had no idea cuz it was like shipped out quick! I love it! I ordered the book and expansion pack! I love being able to change the cards out so I can have some that represent me the most…i like the expansion pack High Priestess so much more! I feel like for me switching a couple cards out it’s a perfect everyday deck for me! Thank you for always answering & giving me advice. So the Forhaxa tarot is absolutely next on my list. (I actually bumped it down & bought the last Witches Tarot on Etsy! Way different than anything I have…funny I had a hard time with my husband & caught myself zoning out on the pics online…I need something to channel when I feel unheard, put aside, angry, not validated, invisible…pretty much a 45yr old housewife in quarantine).

The Tower card reminds me of a car being out in the desert during the testing of the atomic bomb, certainly a dramatic, life changing moment for mankind. 5 of wands looks like some of the bird fights I see all the time in the air around our house, eagles and smaller birds, etc. I think the periods come at the end of a card name, not a suit name. For color palette try it with the Land Sky Oracle. Guess I'm going to have to get this one--absolutely lovely deck and the soft color palette. Thanks so much for sharing!!

I believe your 9 of Pentacles here is a Maneki-neko, Japanese beconing cats, they are popular symbols of prosperity and many places of buessiness will have one on display to bring in money.They stand for ambudance, wealth and prosperity so that could fit with 9 of Pentacles. The 5 of swords card is Fenrir a monster wolf from Norse myth, he was chained but will break loose at Ragnarok the end of the world. He is one of the children of Loki.

I think Knight of Wands is supposed to be quite self-assured young man taking a photo of his abs trying to seem sexy :D It's not my favorite depiction either, but it surely shows off that confident (sometimes overly), young, firey, passionate energy that describes Knight of Wands usually. Quite a fresh look on it! 5 of Swords reminds me of Fenrir; the binding of him; monstrous wolf of Norse mythology.
