Danger had a point. Being a master tattooer has nothing to do with “knowing how to deal with problem clients”. Every real life master tattooer will REFUSE any client they want to, especially if they’re giving them a hard time.

Yeah, that goes for any artistic job, be it a painting, a logo, web design, whatever. Natalie saw how anxious he was and used that as a tool to bully him. We witnessed him being backed into a corner. A tattoo artist isn’t there to baby or comfort their client. They work with them and will aim to give the client what they want (within their skill set). In this competition they expected him to cater to her. HOWEVER, being emotionally abused wouldn’t fly in a real shop. Any artist would stick their foot up your ass before they stand to be disrespected.

But tbh his design was on point! I understand she was not feeling comfortable, but like girl - u signed to get a free tattoo, u didn't like but it's not like u were paying for that or giving anything except your body. If you're going to nitpick designs just go to the artist you like and pay for that like a normal human being and not sign up for a competition tattoo. In addition to that, I think that his behaviour was off because he was stressed as hell and scared, maybe even disappointed in himself and his previous design. He wanted redemption and a possibility to prove himself once again in being an artist but this opportunity was destroyed before he even started. As a tattoo artist myself, I would also be sad and angry and hurt that I lost this kind of chance, so I don't think it's okay to shame him for his stern attitude. Not a problem that she refused but also not a problem that he was feeling human emotions.

Of course an artist will fail the challenge if they can’t complete it in time due to a client not liking the ideas, or a client not wanting the design the challenge calls for. And in the real world of tattooing, the artists boots clients like this. Also to add, the judges really sat there and said you have to charm them? They don’t have fucking time to charm these clients. This is a tattooing competition. Not a how well you can charm the client competition! Again. They shouldn’t allow people into this studio who aren’t willing to get the tattoo the people are assigned to do. Some people you can’t just “charm” into getting a life long commitment.
