Steve is cocky and overrated asf. Like he won the very first season of ink master like big whoopie d doo. They didn't have the same caliber of talent back in season 1. So steve might have been the best of season 1, but hes the best of the worst, soo.... I'd pay to see him competing in more recent seasons to see how he would scale up.

Yes! The area at the bottom with the matty fur and the harsh, dark cut off killed it for me. First off, the way he drew the thicker chest fur made it look greasy and clumpy. And then, cats with that style fur generally have very nice thick manes, and he could have used that v shaped line at the bottom of the cats mane/chest to end the tattoo and I think it would have been way better art. I’m definitely with you, I would rather have that horse any day; the muscle tone of an equine is so hard to capture in artwork but she did beautifully!

With the Angel VS Jimmy grudge match as good as Angel's horse looked part at the front of the horse at the forefront, it looks wrong anatomically as to what should be going on muscle wise, it gets muddled as to where the neck ends . Angel should have ignored Ryan with her suggestion of putting more black on the hair. It detracted from everything else.

The chest fur on Jimmy's cat tattoo is actually pretty accurate to what a fluffy cat's for texture is like. The hairs aren't as fine as the ones on the face and they group up together in the same way that he drew it.

I hate how the judges know for a fact that tats lose 20% minimum of their color when healing so a great tattoo should always look too dark when just done. Like the tiger head will look much better after healed. The fact they don’t seem to ever consider this is twilight zone
