Inkscape Mosaics and the KISS Principle

Creating a mosaic design with Inkscape is easier than you may think.
In this video I explain the KISS mosaic process I developed, as well as the ideal design candidates for this approach.

Note:
I've found random times when Pattern Along Path does not add the tiles to a line segment.
It happened a few times when the line segment had a corner node on each end and the rest of the nodes were smooth.
The solution is to use the Nodes tool to insert a new corner node near each end of the line segment and then apply Pattern Along Path again.

The shape builder tool that was introduced in v1.3 has radically changed the way I use Inkscape. I consider it a milestone similar to the introduction of symbols in v0.92. Thanks for your videos.

@@InkscapeArtWithTom not sure when the paint bucket tool was intoduced but I am finding it very useful as well. Might have been introduced in "1849" but only recently discovered its "time saving" uses. lol
